Old Architects’ Journals | architecturally

https://architecturally.wordpress.com/2012/06/04/old-architects-journals

Old Architects’ Journals. June 4, 2012. I think I have made a mistake. A couple of months ago I cleared out all of my old architectural journals and sent them off for recycling. And then they were gone. 15 years of hoarding ended. Now all I have are a couple of new RIBA Journals and a lot more free space. Things are different now. I taught last year and it was rare to see a journal, even in its complete form, much less cut up. I guess the equivalent now is Google images, online subscriptions, and iPads.

School Trip | architecturally

https://architecturally.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/school-trip

March 5, 2013. And dark, so it must be earlier than I normally get up. I’ve got a school trip today. Kind of. It sure feels like one anyway. Not quite a weekend but definitely better than a school day. No school uniform. No normal lessons. But still, you know, school. I remember that. They’ve even done me a badge with my name on it. That might almost be reason enough! Architects don’t get to go on many school trips. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window).

Genetically An Architect | architecturally

https://architecturally.wordpress.com/2012/07/14/genetically-an-architect

July 14, 2012. My paternal Grandfather was a baker. He had a baker’s shop on Fortune Green in West Hampstead. Each day in the early hours of the morning while London was asleep he would be awake to start work. There may have been easier ways to do it, but they would not have given such good results, and that’s tough to accept if you are dedicated to your craft. We are not in the business of serving stale bread here madam’. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new wi...

Caffeine Start | architecturally

https://architecturally.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/caffeine-start

May 23, 2012. I’m not ashamed of my addiction. Admittedly no one should ever be proud of cracking open the Nescafe; but other than that in my mind it’s all good. I’m an architect, I need coffee. I can’t understand architects that can survive without it. They must have some kind of superhuman stay-awake gene that I’m lacking, but for me caffeine is fuel. architecturally in a sentence | simple examples

In A Sentence .org. The best little site that helps you understand word usage with examples. Architecturally in a sentence. The lounge and study area on the first floor are less minimalist, softer spaces but remain architecturally connected to the more contemporary and ‘public’ ground floor. But, if no change in the social structure is desired, neither can San Miguel change architecturally from the historical colonial character that distinguishes it. Use chairmen in a sentence. Use coma in a sentence.
