A road map for all my architectural wanderings. Sit back, relax and enjoy the trip. Tomorrow starts a new chapter - a new season - in my life. It is very exciting and there will be more news after all the official paperwork tomorrow. A new job! It has been such a whirlwind start to this new year. Some home time, some sick days, and lots of hugs and kind words from all my great friends at my old job. I can't wait to see what this new chapter will bring. New challenges, new adventures. So whats the new job!

Its been a long week - but a good one on the whole. Here are a few thing from around the Inter-webs that are of interest:. Enter your email ad...

A road map for all my architectural wanderings. Sit back, relax and enjoy the trip. Humid Days, Cool Nights. Maggie arrived home on Tuesday, all ready to come to work at Lantern on Wednesday - training your little sis is so much more fun than it really should be. Mostly, I think, because it gives me a really great excuse to order her around. :). A Beautiful Spring Day! People waiting in line to have a look at the interior of the Powell-Clements House. The Tour booklet - with my write-ups inside :). Warm ...

A road map for all my architectural wanderings. Sit back, relax and enjoy the trip. I traveled to Fort Smith, Arkansas on Wednesday for the Annual Arkansas Preservation Alliance conference. It was grand, and I really learned a lot and met a whole host of new friends. It was also great to talk to some of my old friends from my internship days in Little Rock several years ago. (Man, its been a while since undergrad - so crazy! Restored Train - Fort Smith to Van Buren. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Virginia, Right Now: March 2011
http://redheadva.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Virginia, Right Now. Sunday, March 27, 2011. I Beat the Odds. Over Spring Break a couple of weeks ago I finally had the chance to read Michael Oher's book, I Beat the Odds. Hope through a Dream. From the time he was seven, his sights were set on the future. "I knew that I wanted a life outside of the 'hood and I knew that the only way I could get it would be to go after it on my own.". Working toward the Dream. Two of her key points reminded me of exactly what Michael Oher is telling the children who are...

http://redheadva.blogspot.com/2012/08/back-to-school.html
Virginia, Right Now. Monday, August 6, 2012. I really do love the excitement of the first day of school! Today was my first day teaching 6th grade. After introducing myself during class, I gave scholars the opportunity on their exit ticket to ask anything else they still wanted to know about me. Here are the top answers:. 1 How old are you? 2 Do you have any kids? 1 Do you have any tattoos? 2 Do you play kickball? 3 What is your religion? 4 Were you a cheerleader? 5 Is that your real hair?

Virginia, Right Now. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Last week I started my big girl job and just happen to have a school MacBook to use this year. This is one of the less productive things I've learned:). Sunday, July 10, 2011. Oh My God They're Back Again. A few weeks ago Kristi and I traveled back to the 1990s by attending the New Kids on the Block / Backstreet Boys concert. Especially after we held hands with Donnie Wahlberg). Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Definitely a fun girls night activity! 10 Ways To Give ...

Virginia, Right Now. Thursday, June 30, 2011. Sprucing up the Schoolyard. Last weekend Neighborhood Church had our second Weekender, which is one of three weekends a year that we spend together learning, worshiping, praying, eating, serving, etc. Neighborhood Church has been an adopter of Peabody Elementary, especially the playground. We spent Saturday afternoon raking mulch, pulling weeds, and giving the playground a new face before school starts again. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Monday, June 27, 2011.

Virginia, Right Now. Monday, June 11, 2012. Long day of traveling today: 4 cities, train, plane, bus, walking. Taking stalker pictures of other tourists posing with the leaning tower. One to share now and more to come! Beautiful views of the Mediterranean from train and plane today. The tower did not fall on us when we took these pictures. No hospital visits today (I broke my ankle the day that I visited Pisa 4 years ago). Sisters: 0 (9 total). Other: 0 (1 total). June 12, 2012 at 10:09 AM. Back in the US.

Virginia, Right Now. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Where in the world is Callie? My close friend Callie has been traveling around the world working for the University of Virginia's Study at Sea program this semester. Virginia, Right Now. Saturday, August 20, 2011. Star-Spangled Start to School. The first day of school (which was in the sanctuary of the church next to our portables) our principal played the saxophone to start the day. It is just one of his many talents. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. The first week of my first year of teaching is complete. (and two more days now that I am publishing this post) There are just a few things I want to document and share. The Coast | Confessions
https://rachelleighw.wordpress.com/2011/12/04/the-coast
Of a Travel Addict. Yesterday my friends Fran and Melanie took me to the coast around Pornic and wandered around in the wind and rain while I took a million pictures. Good company is definitely more important than good weather. I thought these looked like butterflies and kept throwing them in the air to make them fly. This beach made crunchy sounds. No idea how the claw thing works. 4 responses to “. 4 December 2011 at 10:33 am. Did you get your feet wet? 4 December 2011 at 12:31 pm. Follow Blog via Email.
