Monday, November 30, 2009. Emmett's favorite toy right now is the laundry basket. He has discovered all of the wonderful things you can do with it other than holding dirty clothes. Who needs toys? You can sit in it. Emmett likes to test gravity with it. He learns that he cannot defy gravity. He's like a cat. Always lands on his feet. Turn the basket upside down and you have something to lounge on. I'm getting tired so I'm going to get down. And lay on the floor. Of the laundry basket?

We spent the holidays with Ben's parents and also looked for a new place to live. After looking at 10 houses we finally found one we could call home! Sunday, July 26, 2009. On top of the sickness we lost our remote control to the TV. I am being tortured in my own home. Surrounded by sick boys with no TV to watch. Yes, I know I could just walk up to the TV and push the on button but really, it's just not the same. Here is Emmett on Tuesday - the day before he was sick. We went to visit some friends who had a dollhouse. He decided to climb into it. Emmett is trying to comb Ben's hair. I don't think Ben finds it relaxing and enjoyable. He's a happy boy!

Ironically, when I finally decided to ask for the epi, the anesthesiologist was busy doing a c-section. Since I was already in some pain, the nurse suggested giving me fentanyl till the anesthesiologist got there. At this point I was like "sure, why not." Oh my gosh, best idea ever! John said that fentanyl is a narcotic and it's like being high. Wow, was that ever true!

Baby Burlison’s Blog. November 6, 2009. 8212; babyburlison @ 10:56 am. Jack turned 9 months earlier this week. He’s still crawling on his tummy but can get where ever he wants pretty fast. He’s started pulling himself up and has pulled himself up to a stand position a couple of times. He’s starting to eat “real” food from time to time and does a pretty good job of feeding himself. We lowered his crib after this. This is what Jack does when he’s tired. Two fingers. In his mouth and one hand behind his head.
