Backpacking Through North India

Backpacking Through North India. July 27, 2009 in Uncategorized. I can’t believe how quickly this month has gone by. I fly into Dehli tomorrow, will spend my last day in India in my least favorite city in the country, and leave for Israel at 4am, Wednesday morning. Leh is cool, relaxing, and sunny — making me feel that I am not in ”real India”. I am positive I will be missing Leh the minute I reach crowded, hot and humid Dehli. People make plans, God laughs. Bonding with the locals | Backpacking Through North India

Backpacking Through North India. Bonding with the locals. July 13, 2009 in Uncategorized. Baghsu is all about the courses and the chai. Surprisingly, despite the ridiculous amount of Israelis here, the Indians are the ones I’ve made friends with. I made a ring with Farouk and the gypsy, took a yoga class with a teacher who kept telling me how flexible I am, and learned to cook momos with Rita. Rebecca making her ring. Exceeding expectations | Backpacking Through North India

Backpacking Through North India. July 13, 2009 in Uncategorized. Based on everything I heard about Manali in Dharamsala, I was doing my best to avoid it as much as possible. However, it is the only place to get a bus to Leh, so I needed to spend at least some time in the town. But, compared to my trip to Rishikesh it was practically luxurious😉. A fellow backpacker shared his blanket with us while we waited at the bus station. Comments feed for this article. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Follow “Back...

Backpacking Through North India. People make plans, God laughs. July 20, 2009 in Uncategorized. The original plan was for Rebecca to stay in India for two weeks and for me to spend the last two weeks of my trip volunteering. riiiight. Rebecca is staying in India for 3.5 weeks and I am touring for an extra two weeks instead of volunteering. We met a group of Israelis over Shabbat and decided to join them in their trip to Pangong Lake. 8220;be careful on my curves”. 8220;be Mr. late not late Mr. Address ne...

Absolutely Gorgeous | Backpacking Through North India

https://backpackingnorthindia.wordpress.com/2009/07/16/so-gorgeous

Backpacking Through North India. July 16, 2009 in Uncategorized. After every bad travel experience, my reaction was “Ok, this is preparation for the drive up to Leh”. However, instead of being terrified by the roads and sick because of the high altitude, I was more just amazed by the views we were passing. It actually was relatively comfortable — although that could be because I was comparing it the past 20 hours I had just spent in a mini bus. It am also definitely appreciating how sunny it is in Leh!

We’ve made it to Malaysia! Friday the 13th 😱. Pai in the sky. We’ve made it to Malaysia! So our Friday the 13th flight to Kuala Lumpur ran smoothly and I landed in Malaysia. The flight took an hour less than i thought because of the time difference I didn’t know about (I probably should look some information up from time to time…). We found a shop on the way where we bought cookies and the man gave us free tradition Malaysian cookies as a freebie as well which were delicious! So we got some snacks from ...
