The caves were amazing, we caught a short boat ride out to the one part of the caves then walked up loads of steps where the air was humid and less oxygenated where you could see how vast the caves were. It is slower, less frequent and seldom on time. It will however remain one of our treasured memories of our time in Sri Lanka. If traveling around Sri Lanka, the train is the way to do it.
