Out with the old | Observations of a Backroad Traveler

http://www.backroadtr.com/2014/12/31/out-with-the-old

Observations of a Backroad Traveler. Photography and Photographic Art by Michele Cornelius. Out with the old. With a new governor in Alaska, there is hope for the new year. Walker has halted spending on destructive mega projects including the Juneau road! Fighting the mines that threaten the salmon rivers will be the next battle around here. In the new year, I hope to get out and explore more of the wonderful wilderness around Haines by boat, plane, and on foot. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Observations of a Backroad Traveler. Photography and Photographic Art by Michele Cornelius. Posts tagged “ ice. No much snow at sea level, so we headed up the Chilkat River last week. It slipped below zero a few times, and it was hard to keep fingers warm enough to take many photos but it was so beautiful with snow on the trees, ice floating on the river and rising mist. We have a little wood stove in our 1966 VW bus that helped keep us warm. January 8, 2015 Categories: Winter. Climate Change and Ice.

Observations of a Backroad Traveler. Photography and Photographic Art by Michele Cornelius. Don’t Pave Paradise. Haines Alaska is an amazing place to live, and I hesitate saying that for fear the crowds will come and ruin this sleepy place. So few people read this blog that there is no danger I will spill the secret! Or Southeast Alaska Conservation Council. This entry was posted on December 6, 2014. It was filed under Protecting Alaska. And was tagged with Haines Alaska. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

HOW TO PACK ULTRA LIGHT. RESOURCES I USE TO RUN MY BUSINESS. Inspiring You To Great Things. Freedom Health Travel Life. Don Lapre and the Possible Pitfalls of 7-figure Status. When I was 18 a friend and I bought one of Don Lapre’s infomercial programs. One of the things Mr Lapre’s program taught us was how to sell advertising to local businesses. Even though this initial business was a success (it did turn a profit, after all), as the years passed I lumped Don Lapre and most other informercial make money...

Backroad Texas - Stories from on and off the beaten path!

January 13, 2015. I know I need to put up my posts about the holidays but like taking down the Christmas lights…it’s going to be a little bit. A few last words of wisdom…don’t get shit housed at the company holiday party, don’t drink and drink, and be extremely liberal with the Egg Nog. So be safe and Happy Holiday’s! Doubles were a bad idea.

Knitted and Sewn Apparel and Accessories. Welcome to Back Road Textiles, my home studio in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. Inspired by nature’s palette, I design and hand-knit shawls and seamless sweaters for all ages. Though I always start with color harmony, most of my sweaters are intended for everyday practical use. My shawls range from large very warm ones to wispy, more inspirational shrugs. 2018 - Back Road Textiles.

Taking the back roads

Taking the back roads. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. A Road Trip with my Favorite Road Trip Partner. And then we had our children. Her girls are just about a year older than my son and daughter. They played together as children and went around together for a while with the same neighborhood kids. Things changed and life continued but not necessarily in the same environment. This was a great road trip, in all aspects and I wound up having some wonderful diversions and experiences. Taking the back roads.
