A Mexican baked specialty: Tortillas. A tortilla is a flatbread very popular in Mexico and prepared in a great variety of ways. In contrast to the Spanish tortilla of the same name, the Mexican tortilla is made from corn (maize). The Spanish tortilla is an egg dish (omelet). So much in demand (as stolen goods) that industry experts estimate the so-called shrinkage at around 3% per year. This box went off course into an especially beautiful and particularly remote region.
