Back Yard Food Forest. 04/04/2015 Living Green Wall garden update. April 4, 2015. We’ve had greens and salads with dinner every night for three weeks now. We’re enjoying the Mustard greens, Arugula, Mesclun, and Swiss Chard raw and fresh only minutes after being harvested each day. I continue to be impressed by how quickly the plants are growing and how easy the system is to maintain. The towers are from Bright Agrotech: http:/ brightagrotech.com/. 03/27/2015 Living Green Wall garden update. March 9, 2015.

Back Yard Food Forest. 03/09/2015 Living Green Wall garden update. March 9, 2015. The sump TDS measured 1499 ppm; up 44 ppm from one day ago. The pH was 5.70; down 0.19 from one day ago. I added a little Dyna-Gro Foliage-Pro. To the water almost daily when refilling the sump. I try to maintain TDS in the 1200 1500 ppm range while trying to keep the pH between 5.50 and 6.50. I continue to be impressed by how quickly the plants are growing and how easy the system is to maintain. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Back Yard Food Forest. Air Layering part 1 from Anthony in Florida. July 29, 2014. Here is a brief over view of the Air Layering process. It can very helpful when propagating trees and plants that take a long time to mature. The Mulberry I used for the first example takes 7 to 8 years to fruit from seed, however if you use a air layering you can have a productive tree the next year. After a month and a half to two months you should find a huge ball of roots waiting to be planted! July 27, 2014. These are...

Back Yard Food Forest. DIY Living Green Wall Kit installation planned. August 4, 2014. Howdy Folks, I wanted to let you know that I am planning to integrate a DIY Living Green Wall Kit from Bright Agrotech into my back yard food forest. Http:/ shop.brightagrotech.com/diy-living-green-wall-kit/. This will turn the south facing side of my shed into a productive green wall that will produce many of the healthy salad greens and other vegetables that my wife and I eat daily. State of the CSA. March 26, 2013. In December, Matt, Chloe and I picked up our Pioneer Valley Heritage Grain CSA. Share at Waltham Fields Community Farm in Waltham, Mass. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we made a fun trip of it, making a pit stop at the Somerville winter farmers’ market. What a great market! We purchased a few fun things we don’t normally see at the NH markets (hello, cranberries! And Chloe loved the live band. We Bought A Share. December 14, 2012. We might be a little crazy.
