The pursuit of domestic bliss, one glorious debacle at a time. What Came First, the Apple or the Burpee? June 17, 2013. 8212; Teri @ 6:18 pm. I’m soaking my fruit in vinegar. Have you seen this. So I bought the cherries and bypassed the chocolate chip cookies because it’s time to get my eating on track. My meal plans have to transition to timely visits to the grocery then to actual meals made in the kitchen. Tricky how it all depends on the other. Here’s the summer training schedule:. Friday: Couch to 10K.

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: August 2014
http://cheaptriathlete.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Friday, August 29, 2014. The Oatmeal Is My Celebrity Crush - Part 2. In my last post, I talked about my unrequited love for this guy. He runs and makes comics and sometimes makes comics about running. About a year ago he wrote the one I already talked about. More recently, though, he released another one called " The DOs and DO NOTs of running your first marathon. Which is also hilarious. Choice screenshots:. Not to brag, but I have pretty much mastered the sprint-choke.

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: April 2015

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Sunday, April 5, 2015. Which, based on the number of times I've posted this year, may come as a surprise. I had a decent January when it came to training, but a very rocky February and March due to some good reasons and some bad reasons. But those are over and done, so let's move forward. Hopefully this means more posts for me. Happy Easter, everyone! I set a trail on Friday and the view from the West Side Highway was lovely, even if I didn't capture it very well. Is th...

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: February 2014
http://cheaptriathlete.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Monday, February 3, 2014. Hi, all. Sorry it's been so long. I hope you guys had a nice time with your family and friends over the holidays. Maybe you were able to squeeze in some workouts. I did, but I only just managed. Should've done better. I never even wrote my race summaries for the marathon or the 60k. Or talked about my grand slam! I had a rockin' end of 2013. Comedic endeavors are also in a lull, though we do have a show. Posted by Katie Escoto. Other Stuff I Do.

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: October 2013
http://cheaptriathlete.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. A Lot Can Happen in a Month. For real. I'm notoriously bad at going back and writing things if they're more than a week or two old so I'm going to compress a few things here. The first weekend of October brought my worst half marathon in two years. It was bad. Mentally, I was out of the race the entire time. Granted, my comedy group. Gave me a massive toe blister. PLEASE BE ADVISED: I'VE UPLOADED A GRAPHIC PICTURE HERE. Another two awesome t...

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: Race Report: The 2014 TCS New York City Marathon - Part 2
http://cheaptriathlete.blogspot.com/2014/11/race-report-2014-tcs-new-york-city_11.html
Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Race Report: The 2014 TCS New York City Marathon - Part 2. So there I was, borderline tearing up and crossing the start line of the marathon. I'd decided to set out with the 4:30 pace group because I was a little intimidated at the prospect of running with 4:15. I didn't feel that my training had been up to snuff and the idea of an overly ambitious start scared me a bit. And I thought I was getting up there in numbers. My words sat in the air...

Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete: Happy 2015!
http://cheaptriathlete.blogspot.com/2015/01/happy-2015.html
Confessions of a Cheap Triathlete. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Checking in. It's been a really super long time since I posted anything so I figured I'd get started again. Also, also, I'm not drinking until the marathon. It's been a little while since I decided to do my personal version of Prohibition, but I'm convinced it's going to be very helpful. So far, I'm right about that. As usual, I'll try to post more often for the same reason I always liked posting: it keeps me honest. Posted by Katie Escoto.

Enough. Enough now. | Bluebird Down
https://bluebirddown.wordpress.com/2015/01/19/enough-enough-now
The pursuit of domestic bliss, one glorious debacle at a time. Enough. Enough now. January 19, 2015. Filed under: Baby Making. 8212; Teri @ 11:33 am. It just recently happened that I put a name on emotions I’ve been feeling for the past few years. I slouched in the chair across from the man who taught me how to be a therapist and announced, I think I’ve been grieving. His response: I know. Until I scrolled through my blog looking at past posts, I had no idea it has been. Three and a half years of grieving.
