Wednesday, 25 August 2010. As I got back to the office from the AXA coach station, I saw lots of very proud young people walking out from the Polytechnic having received their degrees from the President. They were all wearing the traditional academic gowns and mortar boards, and looked great. I said "congratulations" to each one I saw, which seemed to go down quite well. Nice flowers, too. Youth Strategy 2014 - 2017. On the 4 November, during Youth Work Week 2014, the 5th Youth Strategy for South Lanarkshire was launched at the Rutherglen Town Hall. After engaging more that 1,700 people in it's creation, South Lanarkshire Youth Council took everyone through the successes of the previous strategy and what to expect in this new Youth Strategy.
