http://mikerobertsf5.blogspot.com/2011/05/jerry-clowers-rule-of-thumb.html
Thursday, May 26, 2011. Jerry Clower's Rule of Thumb. He shared a story about himself as a young man getting ready for a date. He walked out of his room and asked him mom if his shirt was dirty, and his mom offered a very appropriate piece of advice in return. She said "Son, if you have to ask, then it's dirty.". There is a lot of wisdom in that statement. The second principle is do you have to argue with yourself about doing what you have decided to do? What is right or wrong? Do you ask other people?

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. I found myself wandering down a dimly lit street. Other footprints covered my path, for many had been in search of what I longed to find. I did not know for sure where this road would lead, or whom I might meet along the way. I passed by houses, churches, schools, train stations and airports. Perhaps, I have already found it . . . Jesus was there! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Prelude to a kiss. The Sound of Silence. There was an error in this gadget.

Monday, November 19, 2012. Jeremiah 29:11 and America, 2012. For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope" (NASB.). Many of the people who were hearing this promise from the Lord would die in exile and never even see their children and grandchildren return to their homeland. What happened to those "good plans? So, what are we to make of this? Was the Lord mistaken? What He lying about His plans? We are the ones who m...

Friday, February 4, 2011. The "Unchangeables" Part 2. Those words are taken directly from Romans 14:17. When Jesus began His earthly ministry, He told people to change their spiritual direction and get their hearts right with the Lord because the Kingdom. Was at hand (see Matthew 4:17). Jesus didn't come to make us better people, instead He came to transform us into citizens of His kingdom. What exactly does that mean? Our lives are full of decisions. It is not always easy to recognize the best choic...

http://mikerobertsf5.blogspot.com/2012/01/why-is-israel-so-important.html
Saturday, January 21, 2012. Why is Israel So Important? We are alive in a time when one of the primary focal points across the globe for nearly a century has been the nation of Israel. Everything from the nightly news to international politics is influenced by this one tiny nation. This nation that is roughly the size of the state of New Jersey occupies more attention across the world than other nations many times its size. Why is this? Why is Israel so important? May God Almighty bless you and give you ...

http://mikerobertsf5.blogspot.com/2013/02/america-and-sin-of-sodom.html
Saturday, February 23, 2013. America and the Sin of Sodom. We all know that perversion had become very rampant in Sodom. Undoubtedly, it was some of the worst the world has ever seen. The people there had become so depraved that they even desired to have a sexual encounter with two angels (see Genesis 19:1-5). However, this horrible perversion was just one of a handful of sins that led to Sodom’s ultimate destruction. Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and. Pride separates us...

Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Judas Iscariot and Joseph of Arimathea. The prophet Isaiah prophesied about Joseph of Arimathea and what he would do many generations before he was born. In what is unquestionably one of the most beautiful and precious Old Testament prophecies about Jesus as the Messiah, Isaiah said:. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But He was buried like a criminal;. He was put in a rich man's grave. Isaiah 53:9 NLT, emphasis mine). Will we betray those around us, or will we l...

Tuesday, March 15, 2011. What We Really Need are Dads. Nicole and I have been married for about 4 1/2 years. Many of our close friends have also gotten married or have met the person they are likely to marry. Some have had kids or are pregnant, and we have two beautiful little girls. These have been special times as we've been able to see so many fall in love, and we've been blessed to be able to hold so many babies. Have you met their friends' parents?
