Brewby, my beer

Brewby, my beer. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Brown Ale 1.0 v 2.0. 12 lbs Pale Ale 2-row (all malts US/American). 1 lb Crystal 40L. 2 oz Fuggle 4% (60 min). 1 oz Fuggle (15 min). The second problem I had was that I forgot to turn the water on when I ran the wort through the CFC! It will be interesting to have both versions on tap to compare side by side with the only difference being the efficiency of the crush. Posted by UnitedSound @ 2:23 PM. Sunday, January 25, 2009. http://brewbymybeer.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Brewby, my beer. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. My second 'leftover' batch. Brewed 4/21/07. 3lb British 2-row Pale Ale. 10oz Chocolate U.S. 3lb Munton's Extra-Light DME. 15oz Perle 7.5 60min. 1oz N brewer 7.5 30min. 57qts mash 150º 60min. 2gal wort collected @ 1.061. Posted by UnitedSound @ 8:37 PM. Sunday, April 22, 2007. I picked up a Corona Grain Mill on e-bay. I got tired of doing it at the LHBS so I thought I'd do it at home. It has a large hopper that will hold about 2lbs of grain.

Brewby, my beer. Saturday, December 16, 2006. I brewed a recipe out of Papazian's book tonight. 'Phat Fired Weizenbock'. I substituted the LME in his recipe for 7.5lb of DME. About 1.5lb at the beginning of the boil. 2oz spalt 3.5% boiling hops. 1oz of tettnanger 3.7% at 5min and another 1oz of the same at two minutes. Steeped 1lb Crystal and 1/4 of Carafe III and the same of British Chocolate. Posted by UnitedSound @ 7:36 PM. Friday, December 08, 2006. Here is a pic of the kegerator.

http://brewbymybeer.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

Brewby, my beer. Thursday, March 30, 2006. 1st batch in bottles! I racked my first batch into bottles tonight. I pulled a sample out to make sure it wasn't fermenting any more. It's got a nice dark amber color to it. I racked to bottles and capped them. And tucked them away for two weeks. Posted by UnitedSound @ 10:31 PM. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Posted by UnitedSound @ 10:42 AM. Sunday, March 26, 2006. I brewed up another batch today. It was supposed to be a Hefewiesen like Wienstephan. Estimated Color:...

Brewby, my beer: Extract Wheat Experiment

http://brewbymybeer.blogspot.com/2009/01/extract-wheat-experiment.html

Brewby, my beer. Sunday, January 25, 2009. I'm also going to use the partial extract method, adding about 20% of the extract (Wheat DME 6lbs total) at the beginning of the boil and adding the rest in the last 15min. (Doing a partial mash, I could add even less of the extract at the beginning, allowing the mash running's to dominate the character of the wort.). All done. I ended up with about 4.5gal and topped the fermenter off to about 5.5gal. Posted by UnitedSound @ 12:16 PM. Southbury, CT, United States.
