The Drunken Destrier: #277: Feeling Fruity
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015/07/277-feeling-fruity.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Wednesday, 15 July 2015. There's little more satisfying or mouth watering than a New World IPA with a citrus fruit-conjuring hop bill, and what better way to get around the tricky business of selecting the right hops for the profile than to just chuck in some of the fruit itself? About it. The palate is hmm. Delivering nice bittersweet orange with a decent zestiness but a short, quick finish takes it all away before I've had t...

Good beer and where to drink it, penned by a Sunderland fan in London. Welcome to Beermack. Tech is the day job, but beer's the first love. Clean and hoppy wins the race. Great to have lived in Dublin through the Irish decent beer revolution, now back in the UK plying my trade in the Big Smoke. Good beer in Lisbon (and where to find it). March 17, 2016. December 22, 2015. No Beermack post for 12 months. What a lazy beggar, eh? December 26, 2014. Best beer bar ireland. December 7, 2014. December 4, 2014.

The Drunken Destrier: October 2014
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Friday, 31 October 2014. 245: Fear the Hag. A spooky coincidence it was that just as i was beginning to wonder about the White Hag of Sligo, some of their beers appeared both in Bradley's and in the Bierhaus. The first of the bottled pair I picked up was Bran and Sceolan. A truly fantastic IPA. I haven't had a good Oktoberfestbier or Märzen since Ochtoberfest. Best stouts in the country? That said, as with every other. Monday,...

The Drunken Destrier: #283: Beyond the Sea
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015/08/283-beyond-sea.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Thursday, 13 August 2015. 283: Beyond the Sea. Our third American post in a row finds us with two surprises, though, the America in question is the continent including the Caribbean as well as the U.S. of A. A regular costumer from those United States once handed in two bottles of this beer from his local brewery as a surprise gift to the manager of my shop, one of which found its way to my glass. Thanks to both! With cola, ru...

The Drunken Destrier: #282: Towards Victory
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015/08/282-towards-victory.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Friday, 7 August 2015. Victory are the latest US brewery on the Irish scene, though I did happen across some Storm King. In the Irish wild a couple of years ago. Whether or not that was sourced through official channels I do not know, but I do. Know that it was a simply gorgeous beer, so hopes were high enough with this pair I found in Bradley's. The double IPA of the range is Dirt Wolf. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Long live the {Bone} King | Beermack
https://beermack.wordpress.com/2014/11/21/long-live-the-bone-king
Good beer and where to drink it, penned by a Sunderland fan in London. Welcome to Beermack. Knee Deep in Hops. Buy local: Boundary Brewing →. Long live the {Bone} King. November 21, 2014. Double IPAs. I like ’em. In my mind, when a DIPA is executed properly and is served to me in fresh enough condition, it takes some beating. However, after doing a fair old bit of traveling and beering over the past few years, I know what I like and what I don’t within the style. Caramel booziness? The Kernel Double Citra.

The Drunken Destrier: September 2014
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Wednesday, 24 September 2014. 241: Up Kriek, With Paddle. This is a beer I've been waiting to have for over a year, since it was given to me by friend/reliable beer gifter Lachie for my 21st. At the time, he walked into the Abbott's and asked for a beer that his beer nerd friend probably won't have had, and was directed towards this, supposedly from the only case of such beer in the country. Hanssens Artisinaal Oude Kriek.

The Drunken Destrier: January 2015
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Monday, 26 January 2015. There's little more annoying than flicking through your beer notebook (you all have one, right? And finding about a dozen beers you've forgotten to commit to the blog and long since lost the matching photographs. Yes people, the struggle is real. This is just one of probably many posts where I'll indiscriminately lump loose beers together, throw them at the wall and see what sticks. Very little beering...

The Drunken Destrier: May 2015
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Friday, 8 May 2015. 268: A New Old Friend. Sierra Nevada Bigfoot is one of my favourite beers ever, one that never fails to deliver an indulgent, complex, invigorating drinking experience, not to mention it's suitability to ageing, thanks to the fact that it is at once a hop and. Overall, this beer when fresh is definitively bittersweet, and although it supplied a wonderful beery moment, it simply isn't the Bigfoot I love.

The Drunken Destrier: #280: Pure Daycent
http://thedrunkendestrier.blogspot.com/2015/07/280-pure-daycent.html
Cork, Ireland. I drink beer and then I write about it. I'm not quite sure why. Wednesday, 22 July 2015. M&S is a shop I seem to constantly forget about, despite the presence of doughnuts that are clearly the work of occult forces and, crucially, a decent beer list. Among the bottles on the shelf were two cans from Bermondsey-based Fourpure. The Session IPA. Two bloody gooduns from Fourpure that will make for plenty of great summer drinking. 22 July 2015 at 09:42. 22 July 2015 at 11:39. T IJ Amber Ale.
