This particular chapter illuminates Mann’s thought process on what led her to photograph her children in this manner, and yes if she had to do it again she regrets nothing about these pictures. What happens next is I must apply for the replacement post, there are 20 people aiming for 15 jobs. One of those people I in competition with is my wife. There is more that I could say, but for now there seems little point. The interviews are due to be held in a few weeks, so there is further waiting to be done. I am a...

https://mysightpicture.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/little-round-top-july-2-1863
Landscape images of Texas and beyond by Derrick Birdsall. Little Round Top, July 2, 1863. I’ve been to any number of historic sites and battlefields. Some, like the battlefield at Gettysburg are heavy with history and loss. There’s something in the air there, you can actually *feel* the battle’s residue there; or at least, I did. If you stop and listened; and got quiet – you could hear things in the wind. By Derrick Birdsall on July 2, 2015. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. My sight p...

And I want you to love it, too. November 10, 2012. In all honesty, I haven’t been in the mood to update the blog. Hurricane Sandy just barely brushed by my neighborhood, and the damage on the streets around my house you’ll see in the following pictures. Some crushed cars and some beautiful old trees uprooted, but no loss of life and no damaged homes as far as I know. Here’s to hoping that the scars will heal soon. By the Light I am Given
By the Light I am Given. Thursday, August 9, 2012. The fire of His will. I walked through the door and saw a man at a distance. He was facing me with his arm outstretched as if offering me something. I could not tell you a single detail about the room except for what I felt filling the entire place: Power. With my approach I kept my eyes locked on that flame. It felt as if this was the reason I was here. When I became close enough to reach out and touch it I asked "Why the flame? I have decided to create ...

The 78-card Tarot deck originated in the early to mid 1400s in Italy. The 56-card minor arcana. Is based on early playing cards, being divided into the suits of cups, swords, coins, and staves. The Tarot adds 22 trumps or major arcana. Most scholars agree the reason the cards were perpetuated in the west was to safeguard certain teachings through the Dark Ages and the Inquisition. No one is sure exactly what those secret teachings are, but it is clear that the cards are coded in some way.
