Simon Westgate: London underground photos | Simon Westgate
http://bythelightdivided.com/tube-trains
I’m going to start drip feeding a few of the images from a book I’m (very) slowly putting together. I have several years worth of photos taken on the London Underground, it’s always been a fascinating place for me. I hope these photos give some of the vibe of the daily journeys carried out by the roughly 1,229 million passengers a year. Simon Westgate Portfolio – Image from the This Station series. Art Is Hard (2013) | Simon Westgate
http://bythelightdivided.com/art-is-hard
Art is Hard (2013). In even the most perfect reproduction, one thing is lacking: the here and now of the work of art-its unique existence in a particular place. It is this unique existence-and nothing else-that bears the mark of the history to which the work has been subject. Click to see full image. Picasso – Garçon à la pipe. Renoir – Bal du moulin de la Galette. Art Is Hard (2013). Pollock – no5, 1948. Cezanne – The Card Players. Klimt – Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. Kooning – Woman III.

By the Light I am Given
By the Light I am Given. Thursday, August 9, 2012. The fire of His will. I walked through the door and saw a man at a distance. He was facing me with his arm outstretched as if offering me something. I could not tell you a single detail about the room except for what I felt filling the entire place: Power. With my approach I kept my eyes locked on that flame. It felt as if this was the reason I was here. When I became close enough to reach out and touch it I asked "Why the flame? I have decided to create ...

The 78-card Tarot deck originated in the early to mid 1400s in Italy. The 56-card minor arcana. Is based on early playing cards, being divided into the suits of cups, swords, coins, and staves. The Tarot adds 22 trumps or major arcana. Most scholars agree the reason the cards were perpetuated in the west was to safeguard certain teachings through the Dark Ages and the Inquisition. by the light of grace . . .
By the light of grace . . . Bearing solemn witness of the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and giving voice to His desire to deliver us from the captivity of sexual addiction. Sunday, January 21, 2018. Gosh, it's been a long time. I honestly can't remember the last time I blogged. I mean, yes, I can look at the date of my last post and determine when. I last blogged, but I just don't remember. I disappeared for a time. No anger, no tears, no joy. I just sort of felt dead inside. Links to this post.
