Tuesday, 28 December 2010. The period from ordering my new P&H Cetus MV to its delivery felt like a lifetime, oh how slow the days pass when you are waiting for something so important to you! The weeks dragged by and she was finally delivered just before Christmas. Like a big kid with a big toy it was as if all my Christmases had come at once, just that I'd paid for my own very expensive present. Prelaunch on St Ives harbour beach. Sunday, 2 January 2011. Esther arrived with her Romany and pulled up behind us on the slipway. We had a team talk and made noises about it being a good way to start the new year, it's not that bad and what else would we be doing on a cold wet miserable Sunday in January? With the wind to drop to a F3-4 by mid afternoon. OK then, let's do it. It was hard to believe that only five days earlier it had been a spring-like 11°C with almost wall to wall sun.
