This is a very old photograph that was among the papers that belonged to my grandparents. I've been told that these people are Fife family members, but I have wondered if they might be from one of my related families, maybe the Skiles or McConnell families. Recently, I have been informed that the room and clothing styles seem to indicate that this was taken in the 1890's. If you recognize anyone or anything in this picture, or have any other information, or even just a comment, please send me some email!

Still Digging for Roots. Thursday, April 17, 2014. Do you know the Sharp family of Cambria Co, PA? It was pretty easy to track down whose grave this is. It has been entered on Find a Grave. I contacted the man who created the memorials for Joseph. It's hard to tell if this photograph was accidentally taken at an angle or if the house sits on a hill. If it was taken in Cambria County, PA, where the Sharps are buried, then I'd guess that it's on a slope. What do you think? Dont be shy.say anything :).

Saturday, June 25, 2011. The Best Hot Fudge.Ever! 10 Tbs. unsalted butter (NOT margarine). 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa. 4 squares unsweetened chocolate. 1 1/2 c. sugar. 1 can evaporated milk. 4 Tbs light Karo syrup. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sauce comes to a boil and boil for two minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Let cool slightly, then serve over brownies, ice cream, etc. Sauce will thicken as it cools. Here's a tip: don't skimp on ingredients!
