Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Tuesday Workout in the Park. A serious case of snooze-button-itis resulted in an inability to make it to work on time through purely push-pedal methods. Sam stepped in and saved my arse, driving my grumpy butt to Scotts Valley (and even buying me coffee). What a guy. Lunchtime workout in the park:. 3 rounds (couldn't make it through 4). Oddly, my back cramped on the air squats, in exact same area that it cramped on the KB swings last night. Diagnosis? Extremely poor KB technique.

Friday, April 29, 2011. Keeping track of 10 rounds. I was moving s.l.o.w. today- but it was still nice to get outside. I had a hard time with the double unders. I'd get 15 one round and then 3 and 2 and 1 and 3 and 1 etc. the next round- then it'd be back to 15 in a row again. I couldn't quite figure out what I was doing wrong. Maybe I'm just tired. In other news, I'M EXCITED FOR THE WEEKEND. Thursday, April 28, 2011. 84 84 84 84! WOD 6 is done! I was aiming for 40 reps and hoping. AMRAP in 7 minutes.

Friday, July 9, 2010. After a hectic morning (note to self: do not try to fit new cleats/shoes at 6:30 in the morning), I made it out the door only to be foiled by a flat tire near Ocean St. I'm pretty adept at changing tires, even on the roadside, but when I discovered that my spare tube also had a leak I was plumb out of luck. I made up for it on a lunchtime ride, hitting Glenwood Drive up to here:. Home via Granite Creek and Branciforte Drive, then down by the water, enjoying Santa Cruz sunshine.

Monday, August 30, 2010. Some serious kind of tired. 6 am - 1st class in the new box and it RULED. Shoulder to Overhead - any way you want - 2 RM. Interspersed with 3 sets of max pullups. I picked the split jerk (I've only done these a couple of times and need all the practice I can get). 63, 73, 83, 93, 103. The jerks felt pretty wonky, but since I have no sense for the movement or timing, I was pretty happy to just get them done. And one more babystep on my way to being fit. Sunday, August 29, 2010.

Thursday, July 21, 2011. Bike ride to and from work. And I am a sleepy, tired girl. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Legs, legs, legs. 85 mile bike ride, averaging 15mph). Lunchtime at the track. 1 mile @ 7:45. 1 mile @ 8:00. 800m cool down jog. Running still feels ROUGH. But I signed up for my first triathlon. 10 overhead squats w/ bar. 10 toes to bar. 6x1 squat clean @ 90%. 3 hang power cleans. Rest 1 minute between rounds. The Sectionals Day 2. 6 min to find 1RM squat clean and jerk. Did a power clean, front squat, and push press. damn if i had better technique i would rock. Monday, May 30, 2011. 9 am class - made it through the warm-up, but then couldn't do a single thing in class. Improvised with my limited abilities to:. 3 x 12 GHD situps. First row was 3:13, second row was 3:11. Really don't understand why I'm so terrible at rowing, especially considering how often I do it.
