Kyle & Rebecca: April 2014

Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Sunshine, Blessed Sunshine! Boy have we been waiting for this. Temperatures reaching the 70's, and warm sunshine all day long. Even the Western winds decided to pipe down for a few days so we could come out of hibernation! It has been a fantastic three days, and things are looking good through the end of the week! Everyone in this house needed a little sunshine, a little outdoor exercise and neighborly friendship. The winter of '13-14 was mean, and we are ready to forget it!

One year ago today, my family said goodbye to my brother Tye for 2 years and put him on a plane to Brazil. Man, was that hard for me! Monday, March 14, 2011. And the INSANITY begins. Day 1 of the INSANITY totally kicked our trash! Anyway, we'll see how this journey through the remaining 59 days of INSANITY goes. Sunday, March 6, 2011. Day 1 of our Temple Calling. It truly is a great place to be.

A few funny facts: The week before Austin got his call, he was joking with his friends and told them that he was going to go to Milan. Also, the week before Craig signed up to be an Italian Investigator at the MTC! Friday, January 6, 2012. For Christmas my parents got us a new TV. I think Craig had fun putting the stand and the TV together. :). The Lights at Temple Square. The Bell from the Pol...

LOVE changes everything...: Dear Family and Friends,
http://craigandkyliesteiner.blogspot.com/2013/09/dear-family-and-friends.html
Sunday, September 15, 2013. Dear Family and Friends,. More than anything, we have always wanted to become parents and have a family; however, this has not come as easily as we originally anticipated. Growing up and before getting married we assumed that life would follow the plan that we had set out: get married, go to college/start a career, have children, etc. It hasn’t taken long for us to realize that life does not always go as planned. How can you help us? Pray for us and let us know that you love us.

Friday, October 28, 2011. Fall Wreath - Tutorial. I was asked if I had a tutorial. I should have thought about that as I made my wreath. Thankfully it wasn't too hard, so I will do my best to explain it here. So how did I do it? Well, here's what I started with:. 1 1/2 yards of orange burlap. I got this on sale at JoAnn Fabrics. A 14" metal wire wreath frame. I found mine at Porter's Crafts. And brown double-faced satin wired ribbon. I bought 1 1/2" ribbon at JoAnn's (that was the widest I could find).

Tuesday, January 8, 2013. I've been wanting to get family photos since Kate was born. Our last photos are just the three of us, and while I LOVE them, it felt odd to have Kate left out of the pictures! My cute cousin Janelle took our pictures, and captured some great moments for us! I especially love the photos of Hailey, such sass on a 3-year-old! Everyone cooperated pretty well, even in the cold and brisk Oregon weather! My family joined us near the end of our shoot to snap a few Carlson family photos!

Wednesday, October 23, 2013. My First Marathon - Kyle Monson. I began running in April, but the first two months were hardly marathon training months. I was only able to accumulate 34 miles, with a long run of 5.5 miles. Very pedestrian, but this slow start was all I could handle after a long winter of packing on the pounds. It was at that point that my confidence grew that I could not only complete a marathon, but RUN a marathon and enjoy it. MILES 0 - 5. MILES 5 - 13. MILES 13 - 21:. Hearing the finish...

Sunday, December 30, 2012. To conclude our December family vacation, we all headed to Denver, Colorado to witness the marriage of Miles Scott Monson to Jenna Lee Woodward. It was snowy and bitter cold, but the Monsons always know how to have fun together! Karen, Miles, Aunt Ruth, Derek, Mikael and baby drew flew out with Kyle, myself, Hailey and Kate on Friday morning. We left for the airport at 4 am and had a decent flight with the kids. No huge meltdowns is considered a success! Kate and Drew: 6 mos.
