http://hellimatbikes.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Hellimat's biking running and swimming. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Fit friends may help you lose weight. So, I was reading my latest copy of Men's Health and one of their little tidbits in the margin caught my eye. It referenced a study in the journal Obesity. About how hanging out with fit friends may help you lose weight, even if you're not trying to. Now for a rant. Then again, I just read a bit of the abstract about the article.here, take a look. Ride Vermillion: September 2008
http://ridevermillion.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. 3 40 for 40. This is the Mrs. idea. It works like this: 40 miles a day for 40 days in a row (get the idea, I'm turning 40). Here again another great idea for Gut-Check training but a big time eating monster and there for sure will be a few rough weather days. It pretty much means not leaving Vermillion for 40 days and if I do the bike comes along. 4 All of the above. This is what I would like to shoot for, BUT it requires Gut-Check dates to be changed for next year. I must be ...

Hellimat's biking running and swimming: March 2009

Hellimat's biking running and swimming. Monday, March 30, 2009. My Vibram Five Fingers KSO. There's no padding, just a rubber sole to protect your foot and teach your foot muscles not to be lazy. Since running (and landing on your heel) with a traditional heel strike is bad (braking action, and hurts your knees more) I'll wear these some of the time. Without the padding, it trains you to land with a midfoot strike, which is faster and easier on the joints. With my soon to be wife. Links to this post.

http://ridevermillion.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2008. Search for the perfect cage. Since I had a meeting in Yankton on Saturday and was not able to ride on one of the only nice days this week I thought I would head to Yankton a little early in search of the perfect bottle cages to complement my new bike. Yes, I could order them from my LBS but would like to check them out a bit before I make up my mind. Friday, October 24, 2008. A little political fun. Monday, October 20, 2008. More BB gun practice. Redneck hunting at its best....

Today a planning meeting was held with LaneHogs in attendance to help plan this bike ride that will be held on Friday, July 2nd in Wakonda. Of course, Mr. Biking Brady. Wakonda 125th Web Site.
