Bella : September 2015

http://drewphotobella.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 25, 2015. Symmetry, Asymmetry and Balance. Symmetry: To take a photo of symmetry you should be able to cut the photo in half and have one side mirror the other. While taking these photos it was difficult for me to find objects or subjects that were the complete same on each side. Because of that I had trouble finding unique photos. Friday, September 18, 2015. Pictorial Lines: leading, decorative and arrangement. Lines that lead your eyes to the subject:. For this topic I mainly found a ...

Bella : January 2016

http://drewphotobella.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 28, 2016. For this assignment I mainly took photos that I had used before or taken before. Sometimes it was challenging to find two pictures that worked together. When editing, I found that I liked the look of no borders, and how the two photos could almost look like one. In the end, I found that all of my photos had a similar look. Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Bella : Spring 3

http://drewphotobella.blogspot.com/2016/05/spring-3.html

Wednesday, May 18, 2016. For my spring series I took multiple photos of the same general scene. I think I like this series the most because of the color variation. Also, I think that the changes in location make these much more successful. My favorite photo is the yellow, white and pink photos looking down at the courtyard. May 20, 2016 at 8:14 AM. May 20, 2016 at 8:26 AM. These are very cool. I would try to have people in all of the images for cohesiveness, but great job. May 20, 2016 at 9:12 AM.

Friday, September 25, 2015. In this section of the assignment, I tried to take images that looked almost identical on either side of the image. The hardest part of this assignment was lighting because even if I could get the camera in the middle of the symmetrical surface, the lighting was not always perfect. Friday, September 18, 2015. Drew Photo Sam: First Half of Class Portraits

http://drewphotosam4.blogspot.com/2016/04/this-is-example-of-bellas-black-and.html

Wednesday, April 20, 2016. First Half of Class Portraits. This is an example of Bella's Black and white textures set of pictures. She used editing to make the blacks blacker, and the lights lighter. In this portrait of Bella I did the same. As you can see her hair is a very dark texture which pairs nicely with the boosted light shed on her face. I think the picture came out and it clearly looks a bit funny. At first I was going to redo the portrait, but after a short reflection I realized it was kind...

Olivia: Class Portraits 1

http://drewphotoolivia.blogspot.com/2016/04/class-portraits-1.html

Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Maddie's style of photography is self portraits. Her idea is to focus less on making them look like school portraits, but rather like professional headshots. Therefore, that was the photo I was taking of her. This way, she could chose any facial expression she wanted. Maddie G. went for a black and white, editorial style with hand movements and gestures. I posed her and had her do the same for me! Quentin photographed telephone wires. Here's Quentin and wires together. Simple the...

Friday, October 30, 2015. Idris Khan Based photography. My photographs are depictions of photographs based on British photographer Idris Khan. What makes his photos different from other photographers is his photos capture angles of a certain object in one picture. In one picture, the photo will consist of multiple pictures of an object from different angles and placed over each other to give the effect of the object showing its angles in one picture. Olivia: Spring Project 1

http://drewphotoolivia.blogspot.com/2016/05/overlaying-with-similarities-is-my.html

Friday, May 6, 2016. Overlaying with Similarities is my theme for this week. This means that I am taking various photos that I feel are cohesive and go together, then overlaying them to create a similar, bright image. I like this style because it looks nice in a bunch, they are fun to make, and there is a lot of freedom. May 6, 2016 at 8:51 AM. May 6, 2016 at 9:17 AM. May 6, 2016 at 9:56 AM. These are really cool, I like how each photo is so different, like not all of nature. May 8, 2016 at 9:13 AM.

Saturday, December 10, 2016. There are two things I like about this photo. One, the exposure is low so the whole photo is very dark and shadowy: Ben's head and Leo's jacket are a various ominous shade of pitch black. I also chose the tallest male in the class and the shortest, which looks pretty cool together. His was fun because it has a normal human model next to a masked one. This was one of the only pictures I used that had an unmasked model, so it's pretty unique. I like this one because it's blurry...

I didn't keep good track of the specific ones for each photo, but i tried my best to go back and look through them. I tried to show a wide variety of colors and techniques. I used lighting filters and the wave texture to over exaggerate my images. The water filters were my favorite. Mirror and wave texture. Fancy focus and boost.

In my opinion these are my best photos due to the beauty they capture that can be found in everyday life. I like to highlight small moments that captures emotions of someone, or the interaction of people, or just the simple beauty in something. Therefore, I tried my best to find the beauty in the world in which we see everyday.

Thursday, January 27, 2011. Hey Thanks for doing this. I need to get rid of 4 photos. So I would ideally like to know which 5 to take out. I was also told in a portfolio review to pick photos that were more than just "nature is pretty" so if you could keep that in mind too that would be awesome. Thanks. They ask what medium it is.
