Welcome to Armon Naraghi's Blog! Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Artist Statement: During this project, I found that finding asymmetrical photos were the most difficult. I realized that it was hard creating a shot that really showed asymmetry. I found that the photos that I thought were asymmetrical showed more balance. I found symmetry the easiest to find because it is very common on the streets. Doors, windows, cars, etc, all could be made to exemplify symmetry. Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

Artist Statement: After my first attempt at this style of photography, I realized my artist uses more of a colored background as opposed to a white one. Monday, December 5, 2016. While putting together my portfolio, I looked selected images where human emotion was in it's rawest, purest form. These 8 photographs show the various emotions that people experience throughout the day: joy, sadness, worry, etc. Once I found models, I disappeared within the classroom; the wall that is put up while taking a photograph was removed, allowing me to capture unguarded persons. For this series I wanted to take photos that related to each other for example I took a photo of Marley's shoes and pants and then his shirt and when put in the same frames it made it look like his outfit . Saturday, December 10, 2016. There are two things I like about this photo. One, the exposure is low so the whole photo is very dark and shadowy: Ben's head and Leo's jacket are a various ominous shade of pitch black. I also chose the tallest male in the class and the shortest, which looks pretty cool together. His was fun because it has a normal human model next to a masked one. This was one of the only pictures I used that had an unmasked model, so it's pretty unique. I like this one because it's blurry...

I didn't keep good track of the specific ones for each photo, but i tried my best to go back and look through them. I tried to show a wide variety of colors and techniques. I used lighting filters and the wave texture to over exaggerate my images. The water filters were my favorite. Mirror and wave texture. Fancy focus and boost.
