Monday, December 5, 2016. While putting together my portfolio, I looked selected images where human emotion was in it's rawest, purest form. These 8 photographs show the various emotions that people experience throughout the day: joy, sadness, worry, etc. Once I found models, I disappeared within the classroom; the wall that is put up while taking a photograph was removed, allowing me to capture unguarded persons. This was meant to encapsulate experiences, emotions, and thoughts through images that show a deeper meaning. I took photos from the neighborhood that had a gritty, worn feel to them, and gave vibrant colors for contrasting purposes. Friday, November 11, 2016. Artist Statement: For this batch of photos I used the feedback from my classmates and teacher and shaded my sketches darker. I also wanted to experiment with the models being different, such as the bird, and having both Ciro and Tristan as subjects.
