Wednesday, May 25, 2016. To do this I got someone to take pictures of me with elements of architecture to create interesting shapes in the background. To add variety, each photo is taken at a different distance and angle, but all photos are cohesive because they are portraits of me. I edited these photos into black and white and increased the contrast to add interest and to exaggerate the interesting architectural shaped that permeate every image. Friday, May 20, 2016. Drew Photo Quentin: April 2016

http://drewphotoquentin.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Class Portraits Series Two. Nina - South Africa/Nature/Landscapes - Having the subject in focus and the background out of focus to create a scene with depth like many landscape images. Liberty - Mysterious - Cropped out the face to create a strange and abnormal scene that is foreboding. Edited to black and white. Olivia - 1906s Glam - Centered subject with a focus on the face with editing to emphasize the different tones of grey. Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Angel - Close-up Flow...

Friday, May 20, 2016. Fixtures On (And Off) The Wall. May 20, 2016 at 8:19 AM. My favorite is the almost too minimal picture of the fire sprinkler on the roof. It is one of those pictures that you would see in a museum and It shows depth and isnt too crowded, yet has just enough detail. May 20, 2016 at 8:19 AM. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. May 20, 2016 at 8:58 AM. My favorite of these photos is the bottom one, I like that the texture works so well with the fixtures. Drew Photo Quentin: October 2015

http://drewphotoquentin.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 30, 2015. Gabrielle Basilico Style Photographs. For this project, my goal was to create successful photographs that incorporated elements that were commonly found in. Successful. Creating photos that embodied silence was very important in creating the full effect of slowness and the lack of evolution. When I put the photos on my computer, I edited them to either be black and white, or have only limited colors. Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://drewphotoquentin.blogspot.com/2016/05/fixtures-1.html

Friday, May 6, 2016. May 6, 2016 at 8:32 AM. I really like your images. Placing them in black and white definately makes them stronger. I like that you highlighted the lights and darkened the shadows. The best images are the ones with quirky, juxtoposed features as the subjects. Keep it up. May 6, 2016 at 8:33 AM. This is actually such an awesome idea, I like how you never took a picture of the same type of fixture. May 6, 2016 at 8:42 AM. May 6, 2016 at 8:44 AM. May 6, 2016 at 9:01 AM. Fixtures - 2.0.

Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Lines Leading To The Object. The three concepts shown here are arrangement of lines, lines that lead to the subject, and decorative lines. When showing an arrangement of lines, the lines should be arranged in a unique way. In lines leading to the subject, there should be either lines or another object/objects which draw your eyes to the main image. When showing an image with decorative lines, the main object should have decorative designs on it. September 18, 2015 at 9:08 AM.

Drew Photo Sam: First Half of Class Portraits

http://drewphotosam4.blogspot.com/2016/04/this-is-example-of-bellas-black-and.html

Wednesday, April 20, 2016. First Half of Class Portraits. This is an example of Bella's Black and white textures set of pictures. She used editing to make the blacks blacker, and the lights lighter. In this portrait of Bella I did the same. As you can see her hair is a very dark texture which pairs nicely with the boosted light shed on her face. I think the picture came out and it clearly looks a bit funny. At first I was going to redo the portrait, but after a short reflection I realized it was kind...

Friday, September 25, 2015. In this section of the assignment, I tried to take images that looked almost identical on either side of the image. The hardest part of this assignment was lighting because even if I could get the camera in the middle of the symmetrical surface, the lighting was not always perfect. Friday, September 18, 2015. Olivia: Class Portraits 1

http://drewphotoolivia.blogspot.com/2016/04/class-portraits-1.html

Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Maddie's style of photography is self portraits. Her idea is to focus less on making them look like school portraits, but rather like professional headshots. Therefore, that was the photo I was taking of her. This way, she could chose any facial expression she wanted. Maddie G. went for a black and white, editorial style with hand movements and gestures. I posed her and had her do the same for me! Quentin photographed telephone wires. Here's Quentin and wires together. Simple the...

DrewPhotoDiego: October 2015

http://drewphotodiego.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 30, 2015. Idris Khan Based photography. My photographs are depictions of photographs based on British photographer Idris Khan. What makes his photos different from other photographers is his photos capture angles of a certain object in one picture. In one picture, the photo will consist of multiple pictures of an object from different angles and placed over each other to give the effect of the object showing its angles in one picture. Sunday, November 8, 2015. In following the footsteps of Ben Heine, I've decided to follow his pencil vs camera concept. For this idea he incorporates drawings in his photography. Monday, March 10, 2014. Over the summer, I took many photos of wildlife animals, especially in Yellowstone National Park. Thursday, May 16, 2013. These photos are from 'Best Of' Series. I picked the best photos from my 'Landscape' Series, my 'Sea Life' Series, and my 'Reflections' Series. I think that each one of these images are unique because they each have vibrant colors and have a sense of calmness to it. Enjoy! Monday, May 13, 2013. Thursday, May 2, 2013. Wednesday, May 25, 2016. These are my best of spring photos! Not only are they all my favorites but they also are very cohesive. I like the clear, sharp, black photos. They all illustrate expression and emotions, those are my favorite things to capture in photography after all! These are my self portraits! I put them in black and white to create cohesiveness, and create a strong contrast! Friday, May 20, 2016. I like the 8th one down the best because the light adds a really nice touch. Enjoy! Thursday, May 19, 2011. Rule of Thirds 2. In this series on the rule of thirds I decided to use more of the rule of thirds version that featured an object in the corner and still complied to the rule of thirds. I tried to find interesting objects with plain but complicated backgrounds that highlighted the objects that are complying with the rule of thirds.
