Kaeli did street a form of street photography, this one was taken outside in a more natural setting. Ramona also did street photography, although in a little more candid style. Friday, March 21, 2014. Double exposure series IV. Running out of ideas, I scrambled to put together a few double exposure pieces. There was no clear theme with this set, just taking pictures and overlaying them to see what worked best. Friday, March 7, 2014. Double Exposure Series II. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://drewphotosimon.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 13, 2013. Best of the Weston Series. These 6 photographs are what I think best represent my recently made Weston-style photo series. Monday, December 9, 2013. Fruits" (Edward Weston photo set 3). This is the 3rd set of the Edward Weston series. In this I focused on fruits, such as apples and pomegranates I inadvertently captured an additional style, soft-focus pictorialism, in a few shots of the apple. Thursday, December 5, 2013. Pears and Peppers" (Edward Weston photo set 2).

Thursday, September 26, 2013. Rule of thirds 2. Continued, having the focus of an image being in the last third of a photo either on the left or right. Included in this shoot are another lantern and a window. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Rule of Thirds 1. For the "Rule of Thirds" photoset, we are encouraged to break out of the typical pictures with a point of focus in the center. The goal here is to have the focal point of the picture taking up about 1/3rd of the image on the left or right side. I used...

Wednesday, March 12, 2014. PROJECT 15: ABSTRACT SERIES 3. For this batch I continued with the colors and textures but also tried to overlay them with other texture photos and design in Picmonkey to further push the abstractness. March 18, 2014 at 8:13 PM. Love these abstract photos. I think you are great at using the contrast of different colors to make your photos interesting. Keep using colors to make your photos better. March 18, 2014 at 8:36 PM. http://drewphotojoel.blogspot.com/2014/02/project-13-textures-for-this-final.html

Wednesday, February 26, 2014. PROJECT 13: ABSTRACT SERIES 1. For this final project, I chose to use textures outside and inside as the subjects. The plan was to take photos of semi-interesting/abstract textures, and heavily morph and edit them to make them even more abstract. I tried to make them all similar slightly by darkening them to create kind of a shadowy, eerie atmosphere, but they are still all very different. March 1, 2014 at 5:55 PM. March 2, 2014 at 4:27 PM. Drew Photo Kaeli: October 2013

http://drewphotokaeli.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 23, 2013. This assignment was about capturing people showing their vulnerability. This required taking pictures using a plain white background, not using props and making sure the model wasn't smiling or displaying any facial expressions. The photographer, Richard Avedon, was the inspiration for this assignment. Drew Photo Iriana: September 2013

http://drewphotoiriana.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The purpose of this photo shoot was to capture depth. This was done by focusing on one object up close and disregarding the background surrounding the object. Thursday, September 19, 2013. Monday, September 16, 2013. The purpose of this assignment was to photograph leading lines. I attempted to capture leading lines from different angles. I started the cracks in the sidewalk and ended an upwards shot a building. Friday, September 6, 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://drewphotojoel.blogspot.com/2014/02/project-12-experiments-this-project.html

Wednesday, February 5, 2014. This project consists of random photos I have taken in our class, and heavily edited in Picmonkey and Photoshop, to explore different filters and themes. For this photo of Giv I edited in Picmonkey, I first used the nip tuck effect to deform his face and arms. I then used the warhol effect to make it browner and darker. Then I softened the face, and shrunk parts of the fences to make it look cartoony. Finally I lowered the contrast ad brightness. View my complete profile.

Friday, March 7, 2014. PROJECT 14: ABSTRACT SERIES 2. This batch of photos follows the same mysterious, colorful, texture driven goals from the first batch. For this batch, I tried to layer another texture/picture on top of the first photo to add to its abstraction and energy. March 7, 2014 at 9:29 AM. All these photos are so interesting because they are all just so abstract and weird. My favorite photo is the third one because i love the colors used. March 7, 2014 at 9:32 AM. Drew Photo Kaeli: September 2013

http://drewphotokaeli.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 26, 2013. For this assignment I tried to capture the rule of thirds in my photographs. The rule of thirds stems from the idea that the image is divided into three parts. This creates a sense of balance throughout the picture. Monday, September 23, 2013. This assignment was centered around staging depth. In order to do so I tried to get close up to an object allowing there to be space between the two objects in the frame. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

http://drewphotoiriana.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 27, 2014. For my series project I wanted to work with Richard Avedon's style which we worked with earlier in the year. For this photo set my goal was to capture the some form of emotion in each photo. I tried to capture emotion in the photos by conversing with the model and asking her to reflect on certain ideas. I also tried to experiment with photographing the model out of the frame in some of the photos. Thursday, February 6, 2014. Menu: Sun glow,Yester-color, and Intrepid.

Drew Photo - Sasha

Drew Photo - Sasha. Monday, May 21, 2012. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Me Myself and I. For this project, we looked to the past. We looked at 3 stages of our life. Early childhood, elementary, and middle school. I tried to remember distinct memories that I had and activities that I loved. By doing so, I was able to capture snapshots of my childhood. Thursday, April 26, 2012. Eric's photos are so interesting! They have great textures, and such depth. They are overall inspiring. His photos are pretty inspiring.

Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Juxtaposition, meaning, visual flow/rhythm, black and white (? Friday, December 9, 2016. For my experiments, I had a lot of variation from simple to complex:. This one was a little bit on the complex side. I used "tint" to change the color and then I used the pencil to isolate the "tint" to one row, and then repeated each time with a new row and new color. Just like the photo above, it was a short and relatively easy process. This one was really really fun because I totally s...

Monday, April 20, 2015. This picture wasn't completely a mistake but I was trying to take a picture of the street but when the bus came by I was really happy because the way the bus looks when it's moving looks really cool. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. This week was about shooting our team (6 people) in their own style. We had to have the people in the photo as a portrait. We tried to capture them in their style as much as possible using all the editing skills we learned also with the photography methods we learned. We also asked the person on how to edit the photo to make it look like their style. John's style uses a lot of urban environment. He takes his pictures with his subjects looking anywhere but the camera. The ...Cara'...

Friday, December 9, 2011. For this conceptual series, I took photographs of hands in different shapes and collaged them with photographs of eyes. It was interesting as I experimented with very surreal ideas, of eyes shooting out of fingers and eyes dripping from hands. These were the most successful because they integrated into the background well and display the variety of ideas. Thursday, December 8, 2011. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Sunday, November 27, 2011.
