Grape and Rosemary Cake | What She's Having
https://whatsheshaving.com/2011/08/14/grape-cake
What She's Having. Grape and Rosemary Cake. August 14, 2011. October 24, 2011. Another of summer treasures has arrived in Quebec over the last couple of weeks: Concord Grapes. Concord Grapes are a little smaller than the standard varieties, and I find them to be much sweeter. Their season only lasts a couple of weeks and they’re really easy to miss. I bought a small box and started munching on them right away. Grape and Rosemary Cake. 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. In a separate ...

Fiddleheads – a PSA

Fiddleheads – a PSA. By JenniferA - Bread and Putter. May 10, 2012. These are fiddleheads, one of those delicious yet fleeting spring treats. I picked some up at my local grocery store this weekend and I was so excited! There were only a few packages, and it didn’t say anything about where they came from. But still, fiddleheads! Don’t be like me. Don’t flake out on how to cook something when you aren’t really sure or don’t do it often. A quick Google search. Did you like this? May 10, 2012 at 2:40 pm.

No waste food challenge. I don't yet have a garden of my own but when I do I will be growing roses. Today we visited RHS Gardens Wisley and I took these photographs of some stunning roses (and another type of flower). The light is just dazzling in the last photo. The petals are translucent! Lovely photographs - thanks for sharing them. Oh, so many lovely gorgeous roses! Kate - Turquoise Lemons. Thank you for the lovely comments everyone. x. Love David Austin Roses! Brown Butter Oatmeal Blondies. August 10, 2012. It won’t be easy. Sending my second child off to college. It doesn’t matter that I have already been down that road with Sous Chef. My oldest child, and only daughter, left for college three years ago. I cried before she left, I sobbed when I had to tell her goodbye and I quietly wept for weeks afterwards. I expect this time will be the same. Definitely. Am I ready? For now, I bake. This blondie is very dense. It surprised me when I bit into it. At ...I am ...

Tres Leche Cake — The Kitchenarian
http://www.thekitchenarian.com/tres-leche-cake.html
November 1, 2012. It was worth the wait. This cake has been on my list to bake for so long and finally I got around to baking it……well, that’s not quite the whole truth. My son made it! This is the classic sponge cake made by separating the eggs, whipping the egg whites and egg yolks separately and then folding them back together to give the cake its volume. A great lesson for a fourteen year old boy to learn! I will say, he did a super job and the cake was perfect! 9 eggs, separated. 1 cup whole milk.

Fresh Figs with Goat Cheese & Honey — The Kitchenarian
http://www.thekitchenarian.com/fresh-figs-with-goat-cheese-honey.html
Fresh Figs with Goat Cheese & Honey. September 17, 2012. Warning: I may repeat myself. I love fresh figs. I love goat cheese. See where I am going here…. I love this appetizer. This is a recipe, but not really. It is three ingredients (that I love) that you combine to amaze and impress your taste buds…and your friends…maybe not your children, but that’s ok. It just leaves more for you. I love fresh figs with blue cheese too. Almost as much as I do with goat cheese. Almost. Emily @ Life on Food. These loo...
