Slow SSH connections with GSSAPIAuthentication enabled. February 1, 2014. I hit an issue at work where SSH connections to some servers would stall for around 80 seconds. This seems like it only started happening recently, and it wasn’t happening for any of the systems I use on a day-to-day basis, but some of our developers were seeing the problem and determined that disabling GSSAPIAuthentication “fixed” the problem. This is an old post that I wrote in 2011, but never posted for some reason…). For monito...

Steal This IP: Industrial Strength Entropy
http://stealthisip.blogspot.com/2009/09/industrial-strength-entropy.html
Hello and welcome to Steal This Intellectual Property. This blog is meant to showcase our IP and promote certain projects we are trying to undertake. Expect this blog to have stupid ideas, silly ideas, and usable ideas. Thursday, September 10, 2009. I've been wanting to start a company that results in the commodification of entropy. High quality entropy is somewhat rare. Who wouldn't want a whole bunch of it? Writing some game software that relies on chance? Want to hide your music collection in noise?

Drake's Research Blag. Leave a comment ». Tomorrow is poster day for CSUMS. Here is the PDF for my and Chris’s poster. Poster for Numerical Characterization of Entropy Data. The main focus of our project was verifying that the Entropy Key. So basically our conclusion, in statistical terms, yes the Entropy Key is random. It has not failed the null hypothesis test. That is about all that can be said given the nature of randomness. December 13, 2009 at 9:50 pm. Laquo; i win. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Chris's Digital Realm. Chris Boot's (not quite) daily ramblings. Skip to primary content. Electricity Monitoring & FrankenUPS. Generating a new GnuPG Key. I have recently started to become much more involved in the Debian project. Maintaining my own package ( ulogd2. And doing a pair of uploads to other packages. Debian uses GPG / OpenPGP keys widely for signing the archive, authenticating uploads by developers and so on, so I needed a secure GPG key that I could use for my interactions with Debian.

Random notes of an IT Jedi. Saturday, 15 March 2014. Importing your existing GPG key into a Yubikey Neo using Linux. NOTE: Since July 2014 Yubico have been shipping the Neo with the required applets already installed. You should be able to skip the first half of this guide. I've left it up for anyone who wants to start using an older Yubikey. I've previously blogged about getting a Yubikey working to authenticate a VPN tunnel with Netscreen SSG Firewalls. For this guide I started with a fresh install of ...
