However it will be passing through the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend on Saturday 26 May. At 14.43 the torchbearers will be leaving Bridgend town center and heading down Nolton Street, past the council offices, before proceeding up Bryntirion Hill to Laleston. Friday, 10 August 2007. After some pretty wet weather, though not as bad as Tewkesbury and Gloucester, summer has returned. The focus is now on girls golf, under 18, with the home internationals this week and the British championships next week, both being hosted at Southerndown Golf Club.
