Honeysuckle Road: Stars but No Stripes

http://honeysucklehomedaycare.blogspot.com/2015/07/stars-but-no-stripes.html

Activities for Parents and Caregivers. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Stars but No Stripes. Just a few days behind on sharing our Stencil Painting project on the front driveway. Our ages ranged from 20 months (above). To 6 years (below). But then there's the cat (age unknown). She adopted us when her owner, a neighbor, passed away. She is our silent participant in most outdoor activities. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Independence Day! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Stars but No Stripes.

Activities for Parents and Caregivers. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A Need For Individual Expression. Sometimes a single sandbox is not going to work. With a mixed age group that ranges from older infants thru school-agers who all want to play, there arose a need for individual space. So the tub and lid sand spaces were born. Activities for Parents and Caregivers. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. You know those wallpaper sample books you can get for free at your local paint store? That is if your town/city still has one with all the large chain stores. (cough Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, etc). Now for the writing we picked out all the basic colors to keep track of them in case our little friend Hudson decided to run off with one to practice chewing :) And also, notice the print on the back is not a deterrent to the drawing going on.

Honeysuckle Road: December 2013

http://honeysucklehomedaycare.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Activities for Parents and Caregivers. Saturday, December 14, 2013. Reading to Children has always been a highlight of our day. No matter what the schedule holds, we always have time for a story. It's just the way it is. Lately, those children who don't fall asleep as soon as their heads hit the sack have been very receptive to my chapter book reading. But it's been fun grabbing their attention right before they doze off to sleep. Of course Princess stories are favorites. I Love My Job! The details: Marr...

Stephanies Stuff: The Art of the Note Tuck/ Tasty Thursday

http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-art-of-note-tuck-tasty-thursday.html

Kids Say the Darndest Things. A to Z 2015. Thursday, August 6, 2015. The Art of the Note Tuck/ Tasty Thursday. I was beeboppin' along last weekend stuffing pickles in jars from our garden. I'm not known for a prettily packed jar of pickles just for the record. Had them in the boiling water bath to seal up. They did turn out pretty after all. Sweet Pickles. Ready to eat in 4 to 6 weeks. And in the midst of all that canning, I found a little gem of a note, tucked away for a future smile.

Stephanies Stuff: Not Your Mama's Sunday Dinner/TastyThursday

http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/2015/07/not-your-mamas-sunday.html

A to Z 2015. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Not Your Mama's Sunday Dinner/TastyThursday. We spent a lot of time working in our back yard last weekend readying it for my daycare kiddos for a playspace. And I felt working in that 103 degree heat index warranted this awesomeness. So sharing our lunchtime goodness in this Tasty Thursday. A gluten-free Chicken Parmesan (but I improvised with provolone). Best of all is that was a home-grown zucchini. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The WiZard of OZ for Isaiah.

Dexter - age 3: "My shoes make me run fast" (Me) I can't run, I have bad knees. (Dexter) "Why do you have bad knees? Me) God just made me that way. (Dexter) "Well.he didn't mean to." * * do I hear an awwwww? Brodie - age 3: "My mom said the roads are ridiculous! Michael - age 5 :"I'm gettin' on my horse and I'm gonna ride to Texas!

Stephanies Stuff: Fiesta Flats/ TastyThursday

http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/2015/07/fiesta-flats-tastythursday.html

A to Z 2015. Thursday, July 30, 2015. On this Tasty Thursday. I'm critiquing a new kind of taco shell. Flat bottom taco shells. Click on the link to see other Tasty Thursdays). Twelve in the box is pretty generous as they completely filled my baking stone. Even a normal box of shells doesn't quite do that. They're gluten free and are a hearty shell. No soaking up the salsa to make them mushy. And they are very easy to eat. They didn't break up like a taco shell. Have you tried any "new" products lately?

Stephanies Stuff: Katy Perry Likes Gluten Free/Tasty Thursday

http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/2015/08/katy-perry-likes-gluten-freetasty.html

A to Z 2015. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Katy Perry Likes Gluten Free/Tasty Thursday. We went to a concert in Kansas City last year to see Katy Perry. On stage she brought out the all time fave of that city, Minsky's Pizza. She chose an unsuspecting person from the audience and handed the little golden box to them and made a big production about it. Little did the Minsky's folks know though that she is gluten intolerant. Lucky for us, We Know they actually. They really have the best pizza in Kansas City.

Stephanies Stuff: Grandfather's Clock

http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/2015/07/grandfathers-clock.html

A to Z 2015. Monday, July 27, 2015. That is a horrible picture, but the real point is the "sound". That clock hasn't ticked since 1971 when my husband accidentally wound it too tight. He was in so-o-o-o much trouble and it sat on a desk for the next few decades. The Infamous Childhood Clock. My Grandparent's Clock (Hunter family). So clocks in tow, we proceeded to the "clock guy". The roads are paved, but thanks to Missouri legislation of sending road money elsewhere (uh-hem to Big Cities), and the u...

A to Z 2015. Sunday, July 12, 2015. A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:. Wise sayings often fall on barren ground; but a kind word is never thrown away. -Arthur Helps, writer (10 Jul 1813-1875). A list of compliments is in order today. You don't need makeup, you're already beautiful. Any day with you is my favorite day. Chocolate is good, but you're better. You're pretty special. Just sayin'. And don't forget that! Relax You are enough. You have enough. You do enough. Today’s outfit = Thumbs up. View my complete profile.

Honeysuckle vine clings to the fence along the lane. Their fragrance makes the summer wind so sweet. November 19, 2012. It’s been two months since my last post.
