Kathy's 2016 PCT Hike. Day 38 -40, Oak Creek to Tehachapi to Twin Oaks Ranch. May 13, 2016. May 13, 2016. Day 38 – Oak Creek to Cameron Canyon Road, 6.94 miles. I hike out of Oak Creek and up into the mist. The Mojave I’ve been walking through is not the Mojave I’ve read about. The mist shrouds the wind turbines, so I can hear but not see them turning in the wind. The trail passes through private land and weaves through barbed wire fencing. A helpful sign points the way. Day 39 – Twin Oaks, 0 miles.
