Tuesday, August 27, 2013. This was definitely the best decision I have ever made and if I had to do it all again I would do it in a heartbeat. The surgeries are all in the past now and I'm happy for that. Though I'll admit I thought this day would never come and it happened so fast. Now life needs to slow down so I can enjoy it to the fullest. =). Saturday, July 20, 2013. 4 months post op. Oh and for all of you to see. Though this is the first time I'm seeing my smile side by side with my old smile. What a huge difference. (and I still hate my nose) but I can't fix everything =P. Tuesday, May 7, 2013. On the 14th I'll be seeing my surgeon again. That'll put me at almost 7 weeks post. I'm almost there. Almost at the 8 week mark. That doesn't mean I'll definitely be able to chew food again but hopefully by doctor would be giving me the okay to eat a little bit more than I already have. Wish me luck! My six week photo update! On Dec 5 I went for my second braces adjustment, and I had a pretty great day! My Orthodontist group travel down to another town once a month - and it just happens to be half way between their usual office, and my home town - YAY! My Awful Open Bite - The Road to Jaw Surgery. Monday, July 30, 2012. Today I had my appt with my surgeons. They were very happy how everything looked. I have another appt next Monday and I may have the splint removed! Nothing guaranteed, of course, but I am optimistic. I also had X-rays taken and it's crazy to see the changes from a week ago. That's all I can say. Rinsing with mouthwash helps but not that much. One more fun stage of recovery! Still can't believe it's almost been a week. Day 5 - so tired.
