Jennie 2005 Travels: Have plan, will travel
http://jennieworld2005.blogspot.com/2005/10/have-plan-will-travel.html
Thursday, October 13, 2005. Have plan, will travel. Having a plan gives me great relief, gives me something specific to work towards, rather than wondering and exploring more options until I run out of time and can do nothing. I will come back someday to do the Langtang trek, or maybe one of the other Everest region treks that require a few weeks and more advance planning. I have enjoyed instant messaging with those up late enough (or in different time zones) a few times! Have plan, will travel.

Wednesday, October 12, 2005. Dashain (pronounced "duhs hain") is the Hindu festival time now, so schools are closed, families are celebrating, and tourists occasionally find shops and restaurants closed for the holiday. Cars and motorcycles are decorated with garlands of marigolds, offerings appear at shrines but also at seemingly random places in the street. Posted by Jennie @ 6:49 PM local time.

http://jennieworld2005.blogspot.com/2005_09_11_archive.html
Monday, September 12, 2005. A month from now I'll be back in Nepal, country of stunning landscapes, friendly people, and erratic political unrest. (Apparently there's been a ceasefire for the past three months, and people in the villages can pay to avoid Maoist attention. This leaves much to be desired in terms of quality of life.). I wanted to get this site set up so that you can bookmark it and know where to check back if you want to read updates while I'm traveling!
