Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Happy Times with Lily! Lily is always looking to make someone laugh. She tries once and if it works she does it many more times for you! We love her spirited little personality. What a gift she is to so many! Lil has her favorite spot on the couch where she sits to watch Elmo with baby, drink and a nack (snack). We never have to guess about what she wants, her communication skills are very impressive. We love it! Can you see how much she LOVES Pata (pasta)? Show us your teeth Lil.

http://lilyswait.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Still in the Hospital. I woke up today on the couch in a hospital room with my daughter in the hospital bed attached to an IV pole. I thought I was dreaming. But, no. Can you say? Welcome to month number 7 of feeling like my life is tumbling by in a washing machine. Hannah's fever has been down for a few days. Rash, itching and irritability has been off the charts awful. Itching, especially. Hannah gets about 50mg of Benadryl. Every 8 hours to help with the itching. If we stay her...

Updates on Hannah's Aplastic Anemia & her sister, Lily, from China: Typing With One Hand
http://lilyswait.blogspot.com/2009/08/typing-with-one-hand.html
Saturday, August 8, 2009. Typing With One Hand. No, I am not practicing for the "one handed typing championships" - - I dislocated my left shoulder. You read it right: I DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER! There are no words to describe the pain of a dislocated joint . I gave birth to Hannah without an epidural (not intentionally) and the pain of her 9lb body didn't even come close to being an ounce of the pain of my dislocated shoulder. Truly. We go back to the clinic on Friday for follow-up. Oh Debbie, Im so sorry!

Updates on Hannah's Aplastic Anemia & her sister, Lily, from China: Saturday Update
http://lilyswait.blogspot.com/2009/08/saturday-update.html
Saturday, August 1, 2009. The doctors have stopped one of the anti-biotics (Flagyl) because Hannah no longer has C-Diff. Hopefully this will help her from throwing up so much. She is still on oxygen and her breathing is a bit shallow but hopefully when some of the fluid comes off she will start breathing better. The doctors are also working to get her blood pressure in a normal range - it has been too high. We have had great nurses last night and today - so that helps a lot! Hannah seems a bit better tha...
