Room 5 Rock n Roll! The Kaitao School Swimming Competition for 2009. It was a hot Friday in week 6 when it all began.All academy's got bused off to the aquatic center after lunch for a cool day of competing in all sorts of fun swimming events.The events were aqua jogging,breast stroke,running with a ball on your head and others.First up was all of the house chants.'MORRISON S THE NAME AND WE'VE GOT THE GAME! And that's when things started to get CRAZY! Probably not many people did that though).

On wednesday room17 went to waimarino. The bus ride was long and my mum and aunty came too. My first thought of Waimarino was WOW we are the first to come here from our school. We went out in kayaks,it was fun. We had to go into a circle and we tipped shevez out of her kayak. It was really funny. We werent allowed to say COLD, FREEZING and we werent allowed to get out. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. This is when we went to Noho marae.We left on the 23rd of march to the 25Th of march. When we got there we put our bags by the seats and waited for the lady to do the karinga.We walked behind Whaea Rea she done the karinga back.Then we took our shoes off and sat on the chairs (but the girls sat on the floor).The Kaumatua said something in Maori. Sadly at the end of term 2 whaea Amanda left room 8 .But she is coming to visit us time to time to see what we are doing and working on.She is still here at kaitao helping out the schools netball team. In week 6 Expressive Academy went to Tunohopu Marae. First a Kuia welcomed us on to the Marae. We then started walking very slowly towards the marae. MY SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT! My science fair project was all about marbles and I and caleb had worked together and i had learnt that big marbles go further than the small one. Why I had choose this topic beause it is all about marbles and I am interesting about marbles.my results about the marbles was the small marble fall down on to the ramp.And the marbles stops at 12 ft and 11 inches.The 1 inch round marble dropped down the same ramp at 19 ft and 1 1/4. Room 12 and Room 14 went. We did heaps of cool stuff. On the first day at the noho marae we got welcomed on to the marae and then went to the mussem to learn about the Te Arawa tribe.
