Kaity’s Free Patterns. Plain Ol’ Hat. February 28, 2007 at 4:45 am. All the hats I have knit are fancy (stripes, fair-isle, etc.) and I needed a plain, solid colored hat to wear that matched most everything, so:. Materials: Any Chunky Weight yarn, I used Plymouth Encore Chunky. 16″ Circular Needle, Size US 10. One set of Double Pointed Needles in the the same size. Gauge: Approx. 3.5 stitches/inch. Using Circular needle, cast on 64 stitches and join in the round. Round 1: *Knit 6, K2tog* repeat around.

If you live somewhere really cold, you might want to make them a bit longer. Manos Del Uruguay Varigated Wool, 1 skein (You might need 2 if you want to make them longer.). US Size 8 DPNs, set of 4. 1 US Size 10.5 needle (for casting off). Cast one 36 Stitches onto 3 needles (12 on each). Weave in ends, be warm.

My daughter's Journey with P.I.S - Progressive Infantile Scoliosis. Thursday, July 15, 2010. The start of our P.I.S journey. As a Mom, you always have to go with your gut instinct on things, when it comes to our precious children. At the end of March I began to notice a small "hump" on the right side of my daughter's back. I didn't think much of it, but continued to monitor it. It became clear that it was getting bigger over time. My husband noticed it as well and so did some of our family member's.
