We will soon see if he decides to apply it in school or not? I was a Monster! So of course I made him an appointment that day to see the dentist who started him right away on antibiotics. Friday, January 27, 2012. Look at the accent wall I painted in my entryway! It's in a fun alternating-color herringbone design. I've been wanting to do something cool on this wall for a while (I even tried and badly failed a stenciling attempt back in the summer), so when I saw this ceiling. I knew I wanted to copy the design. It was a fun project. What do you think? I'd love to dress the wall up even more with updated lighting, a console table, a huge shiny mirror, and a plush rug on the floor.

Thursday, July 30, 2009. Today is the day we celebrate Hunter! He turns 7 and it has been a terrific seven years. He keeps me on my toes and amazes me daily with all his knowledge. Land of Larry
Artwork and thoughts by Larry Foster. The Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Many years ago I visited the Garden of the Gods and its striking beauty stayed in my mind. I remember that while drawing it I became so very pleasantly lost as I made the details as well as when I was drawing the overall structure of the image. As near as I can tell the rock in the painting is The Old Woman Rock. There is some good information about it on a website called Mountain Project along with more photos.
