2011 End to End. Walking Great Britain from Land's End to John O'Groats. I’m Off Again. September 10, 2011 by Jack Frost. Well, I’ve been back now for just over four weeks and I figure that I’d better get started on this so that I’ll have something to talk about at my next Procrastinators Anonymous meeting, if they don’t postpone it again ;-) Here is what I learned:. The BBC edition, not the A&E version. Arose when it came time to set-off on footpaths across country and through fields. Occasionally t...

Day 73 | 2011 End to End

https://lejogjack.wordpress.com/2011/08/05/day-73

2011 End to End. Walking Great Britain from Land's End to John O'Groats. Laquo; Day 72. August 5, 2011 by Jack Frost. Day 73 Thursday August 4, 2011. Weather: Cloudy w/ Fog. Today’s Distance: 15.5. Total Distance: 1179.5 mi. Elevation Gain: 1569 ft. GPS Track: Day 73. So that End-to-Enders wouldn’t have so far to walk. Now if they’d only put a sidewalk next to the A9 from Tain to John O’Groats, we’d be in business. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Monday, 4 July 2011. Day 10: Golspie to John O Groats. DT - Awesome end to the trip. Woke up feeling tired but my bike legs were back and we set off like the clappers. Although we were aware there were some hills today, we weren't quite expecting the amount of climbing we had today. Helmsdale in particular has a couple of very long 13pc climbs that go on for about 4 miles. The almost 50 mph descent was exhilarating though! Sunday, 3 July 2011. Day 9 Kingussie - Golspie. May I lie down upon my back. AK - ...

LEJOGGLER | Can they do it? YES THEY CAN!

Can they do it? And so that is it. Sam, Alex, Anouska, Emma, Dave M and Dave W have all successfully completed the challenge and cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats. After 13 days, 1000 miles, lots of sandwiches and even more beer they finally cycled into John O’Groats at 5.04pm on 6th August. I must confess that I had my doubts before they started that each and every single one of them would cycle each and every mile but they did – and I know I and many others are blown away by the achievement. The c...

Skip to main content. Skip to primary sidebar. Skip to secondary sidebar. Cycling 1000 miles in 9 days. We’re off…. Tomorrow. Our gear is all on the van, which is already on its way southward. We’re following it down tomorrow – flying down to Exeter, then a minibus to Land’s End for an overnight stop before we start pedalling the just-shy of 1000 miles on two wheels. I think I’ve put in enough training, and certainly I’ve not been this fit for over a decade, so maybe I shouldn’t worry o...8211; cycle&#46...

LE-JOG ON Jonny and Brooksy

LE-JOG ON Jonny and Brooksy. Thursday, 21 April 2011. Day Twelve - The final countdown. We were rudely awoken by the 04:35 train to Glasgow. The resultant vibrations and plate rattling woke us all up. Who on earth catches trains that early anyway? Our journey was only 30 minutes old when we stopped in a lay-by to do another radio interview, this time for BBC Radio Derby. But, as luck would have it I glanced, literally, across the road to see a bike shop. With the effort of simply crossing a road requ...
