Little and Lovely: Taking baby to the beach and enjoying it
http://cherrystreetcottage.blogspot.com/2013/05/taking-baby-to-beach-and-enjoying-it.html
May 24, 2013. Taking baby to the beach and enjoying it. Hand and face wipes. Yes, we put Ella in a hot tub but only after cooling it WAY down. Sometimes you are just too lazy to head to the pool. Especially when the hot tub is right out your back door.). One thing I did learn from Pinterest/blogs was that baby powder easily removes sand from skin. Try it. I also used hand and face wipes to help keep her hands and face clean and free of sand. Hope this is helpful as you plan your next trip to the beach wi...

Little and Lovely: Super Easy No Sew Curtains/Valance
http://cherrystreetcottage.blogspot.com/2010/06/super-easy-no-sew-curtainsvalance.html
June 3, 2010. Super Easy No Sew Curtains/Valance. For $2.50, an iron, some hem tape (I think that is what it is called), scissors and a measuring tape you can create a cute little valance in a snap. It really is easy, anyone can do it. Next, flip your fabric so the pattern is facing down. Fold up the edge so you have a 1 in. seam and iron it in place. I always start with the long edge first and then bring in my sides. Once you start hemming up the sides, you will notice that the corners are hard to pin d...

Little and Lovely: Easy, no-sew, 5 minute headbands
http://cherrystreetcottage.blogspot.com/2013/03/easy-no-sew-5-minute-baby-headbands.html
March 12, 2013. Easy, no-sew, 5 minute headbands. It's time to say hello to spring and goodbye to winter and that means saying goodbye to all Ella's knit hats and hello to cute headbands. Ella is really excited about that. And fortunately for me it is a lot easier (and faster and cheaper) to make a headband than a hat. So fast and easy that a busy mom can make one in 5 minutes in the nursery while their baby plays and I can prove it. Jersey fabric (scrap fabric or old t-shirts). 3-6 mos.: 15" (17x4).

Little and Lovely: DIY: Luxuious Towel/Blanket
http://cherrystreetcottage.blogspot.com/2010/05/luxuious-towelblanket.html
May 10, 2010. I love getting my Joann coupons in the mail. The best part is they come to both myself and my husband - double of everything and they let me use them both at the same time! The grand total for materials after thread and extra sewing needles was $30. Oh I didn't mention that I bought 2.5 yards of both fabrics and then 8 yards of ribbon (that was where a lot of my cost was). When I got home I laid the green terry cloth down so the side I wanted showing was facing up. I cannot wait to use it f...

Little and Lovely: December 2014
http://cherrystreetcottage.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
December 29, 2014. I can't believe that Christmas has already come and gone. We even have already taken down all of our decorations. Sniff. Sniff. At least we are left with a lot of great memories celebrating with family and friends. And this was our favorite Christmas to date. I anticipate we will say that every year as the kids grow. Which she still shouts every morning. Wishful thinking Ella. Ella thought the gifts made a great seat when she had to quickly jump on her computer to "work". We spent the ...
