Eating, drinking and supplies. If you want a break from cooking, there are a few good restaurants in the area. We recommend The Lastra Farm Hotel. The nearest pub is in Amlwch Port, and good pub food can be found at the Pilot Boat in Dulas, and The Trecastle in Bull Bay. There is a Somerfield supermarket in Amlwch two miles away and a choice of takeaways in the town. The nearest superstore is a 24 hour Tesco off junction 8 of the A55, just off the island.

For those of a very energetic disposition it takes little more than half an hour to drive into Snowdonia. Llandudno is a hour drive away and has an unspoilt promenade, a Theatre, a cable car and tramway to the top of the Great Orme, a dry ski run and a toboggan run. Day trip to Dublin from Holyhead.
