Year of opening our gardens, This year we will be donating some 50% of the net profit on ticket sales to the National Garden Scheme’s list of benefiting charities, which includes nursing and caring charities. The remaining profit will be used towards the extension planned for our village hall, which itself is a registered charity run by volunteers for the benefit of the local community. I placed my house with the large glazed facade facing southernly, while the northern wall supports a long and narrow window very high up, avoiding direct sunlight into working areas.
