Thursday, October 28, 2010. Don't Speak Unless You Can Improve on Silence"- Grandpa. I wrote a poem for Grandpa a few weeks before he passed. I wasn't going to post it but after Shelly read it during her talk at the funeral, a few people have asked me to share it. I'm glad I wrote it in time for Grandpa to read it. The back story is that Grandpa always kept this poem by Ogden Nash on the refrigerator:. People expect old men to die,. They do not really mourn old men. Old men are different. People look.

Sunday, January 15, 2012. We haven't graduated into the 'send out family holiday cards' phase of life yet. So instead please accept this. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Rear. This picture is just too good not to share. And with that, the blog catch-up is complete! Toni S. Cook. Links to this post. Christmas and New Year's in Washington. Matt and I had such a great time seeing all the love that surrounds Cal and us, both near and far. Let the picture dump commence. Her little toes kill me. Bath time is p...

Thursday, August 9, 2012. Living the Good Life. Oh hey. I used to update this blog once upon a time. And then life started moving way too fast so I just gave it up to focus on the little things. But I don't want to forget those little things now that we are on to new things! So, after being bullied repeatedly by my youngest sister, here's what we've been doing since February. Lot's of growing, playing, and loving. My 5 month old will be my 11 month old a week from Friday. Sob. I am a lucky lucky girl.

Monday, October 31, 2011. From Callie the Bat :). Lots to update but no time to do it! However, I could not let Halloween pass without a quick post:). I still have some anxiety about taking her out in public and I refuse to pass her around. Our first real social outing (other than her blessing day) was the ward Trunk or Treat which was perfect because she slept in my arms the whole time. It was a fun night and it just got me excited for all the Halloween's to come. Toni S. Cook. Links to this post. As in...

Well he came right over and fixed the tire like a pro! Posted by Kate and Josh. I agree Linds...

The Laytons: Backtracking

Monday, May 11, 2015. Continuing on with the rest of 2014. We last left off near-ish Halloween time. We had quite some adorable trick or treaters this year. I had Cade's costume all planned out. I was going to make an awesome Emmett from the Lego movie costume since Cade is obsessed with Legos. But finally after awhile, I could really tell that he wasn't as excited about it as I was, and he was only going along with it because that's what I wanted. So I finally got out of him what he. Cade played basketb...

The Laytons: September 2011
http://kristinandchase.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 15, 2011. This is probably one of the longest posts I will ever write so if you don't want to read this dissertation then just skip it. I remember when I was pregnant with Cade, he was so incredibly active. I even asked my OB if that meant he was going to be a really hyperactive kid. He said no, but of course, that is just what Cade has turned out to be. So when Reece was just as active as Cade in the womb, I knew we were in for round 2. Not a self-soother- "They want to interact with...

Monday, March 19, 2012. 6,7, Oops! Well, I meant to do a 6 months post of Reece, but that didn't happen. So I was going to do a 7 months post. Too bad he is already 8 1/2 months old, and I'm just now getting to post on the blog. I have plenty of. Kleenex to dry your tears (I really do) . Let's just jump right in and go about this as a complete hodge podge of random photos and events. He got his first 2 bottom teeth at 5 1/2 months. Well, hello there! Always sucking in that lip. Found him standing up in h...

Sunday, August 19, 2012. Can I Get a Yum-Yum? I'm just going to be honest- I really. Enjoy food. I mean, REALLY enjoy food. Who doesn't, right? Well, my beyond picky eater of a husband does not. Now, I don't mean that he doesn't like food or doesn't eat it often. What I mean is that he doesn't enjoy. It This may sound a little far fetched so let me give you an example. When I eat something that is really good, everyone around me knows it. Anyone else tend to say - "OOOHHHH, this is so good! So after many...
