The thoughts of a husband, dad, pastor and sports fan . . . Disclaimers and Comment Policy. No this is not some special quiz that is given only during Lent or a special medical test that doctors perform during this season. Instead, it describes the practice of intentionally setting aside time for the regular examination of our conscience and our consciousness as discussed by Marjorie Thompson in Learning Forgiveness: A Lenten Study from The Thoughtful Christian. The thoughts of a husband, dad, pastor and sports fan . . . Disclaimers and Comment Policy. 30 Days to the Marathon. As I was getting ready for my run this afternoon, I realized that it was time to start using the Tempo C workout. Why forgiveness? | Meandering McLean
https://meanderingmclean.wordpress.com/2013/02/20/why-forgiveness
The thoughts of a husband, dad, pastor and sports fan . . . Disclaimers and Comment Policy. Of all the possible topics for the church to talk about on Thursday mornings, why have a conversation about forgiveness? This is the question that I had to answer when deciding whether or not to facilitate a Lenten discussion on forgiveness. There are so many different possibilities for where to start having a conversation about being Christians in the world today, so why start with forgiveness? This entry was pos...

After all, who is more important to know than one's own self? God did not leave us orphaned as we seek an answer to the great question, " Who is God? Then you simply must ...

Lots and lots of meetings. The excitement is here. For a new school year. A few days ago, a former student and her sister (college and high school) came by to see me. Meandering McArthurs
News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Day 70 Broken Hill to Mutawintji National Park. Before leaving Broken Hill today we visited the Royal Flying Doctors Service. It was fascinating to learn about the history of this service and the clever visionaries that developed it. We never fully comprehended the special role it plays until today. We got to hear a re-enactment of a call from 'Maggie' about her injured husband. It's a nice spot, the worst ...

meanderingmeadow | the story of us
The story of us. September 20, 2016. September 20, 2016. So, I have to write and figure this out. Because it doesn’t make sense why God would allow this to happen to her. I’m heartbroken. Over her. Over the world. When I was younger, really young, maybe even in high school, I remember thinking and even saying out loud, I’d rather be dead, than raped. The thought of it was so scary – living life afterward seemed like such a horror that it made more sense to me to just die. Filled with vengeance and rage.

For the rest of my life I'd be forced to deal with an itch I couldn't scratch; a perpetual need to be on the move. I half-listened with the cocky ears of someone who always thinks they know themselves best. You know what's hard? So where does this leave me now? I do have that itch, and I...
