Altan Khan’s son Sengge. Sengge’s son Curuke. All of these men vied for access to the Third Lady’s political resources and were forced to gain her favor. She did not give up the imperial seal, however, until she died. These are just some scattered thoughts. I hope that someone soon takes up these subjects as a research topic!
