The Olson Family: June 2013

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Jake had a birthday extravaganza for turning two! He had a total of three mini birthday parties and loved every single one. He loves any excuse to sweets and gladly loved that cake was served at each party. Given all the traveling and stress as of late, I was not feeling up to the big birthday party we did last year; however, having three separate celebrations seemed to make up for it. Does it show that he LOVES cake? Monday, June 10, 2013. Jake, you are two. It seems like yeste...
Hewa Happenings: February 2011
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. These three have been so much fun recently. Yes, we still have our moments, but in general they are in a really enjoyable stage and I am soaking it up! As you can see above, Grace, Isaac and Eli are finally having a lot of fun playing. There are afternoons when I pause to just take in the fact that they are in the other room playing together. For more than five minutes. Can I get an AMEN? A few things that stand out to me about each of them these days:. I know, little buddies, ...
Hewa Happenings: Dates
http://hewafam.blogspot.com/2011/04/dates.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. I loved listening to her sing, tell me stories, and just talk with me as we shared the morning together. Eli spent the morning with Coco, playing at her house and having lunch at Whitworth with Landon, Sarah and Nicole. He was eager to tell me all about it. We've also been enjoying time recently with our new little buddy, Sydney Smith! Sydney was born to our good friends Kyle and Mindy at the end of January and has quickly become one of our new favorite people.
Hewa Happenings: September 2010

Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Times, They Are A Changin'. It has been a time of transitions in our household. Transition #1: Grace and Isaac are now in week two of pre-school. How did my little munchkins get to this point already - SCHOOL? Sorry buddy, you're stuck with me for another two years. :) Really though, I am looking forward to have a couple of mornings each week to focus on Eli, while knowing the other two are learning, growing and enjoying their time away from us. We'll somehow figure out a way...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Add to the Beauty. There are only a handful of musicians that I would classify myself as a fan of, but Sara Groves is one of them. I appreciate the honesty and depth of her lyrics, the way she can write playful ditties as well as moving melodies about the tougher issues of life. Aside from that, I'm just a fan of her acoustic, female sound! Add to the Beauty. By Sara Groves and Matt Bronlewee. We come with beautiful secrets. We come to every new morning. To tell a better story.
Hewa Happenings: January 2011

Monday, January 10, 2011. Birthdays are funny things. I'm sure many parents can relate - in some ways it feels like Eli has been around far more than two years and yet, I feel like I've turned around twice and he went from being a bleary-eyed and wholly dependent newborn to a busy, running, talking toddler who is beginning to seek independence. A little overwhelmed at all of the attention - at least one of them is. He belly-laughed over these "quack-quack" cup cakes each time he saw them. You, darling bo...

Jones Family: March 2011
http://jandjjonesfam.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Random February thoughts- in March! Jason made a New Years resolution to buy exercise equipment- that's right buy it, not use it- he said he wanted to make sure his goal was attainable- so funny. Well, we now have a nice little home gym and the best part is we got it all on craiglist. For a great price. Just ignore my dirty unfinished basement :0)! We both exercised this morning, so I guess he's decided to use it after all. So, I officially have the cutest husband in the world!

Sunday, February 2, 2014. I introduced the Littles to a classic this week. M: Mom, is Mr. Rogers real? Me: He was a real person, but he's not alive any more. Me: Well, he got really sick, and then he died. M: So (long pause) (audible gasp) I will get to meet him in Heaven? We're looking forward to it, Mr. Rogers. Sunday, January 12, 2014. So in honor of nostalgia and reviving this little blog, here are a few gems from 2013. Maddi's first ballet class, my (love/hate) experience with "Insanity". Graysen tu...

Monday, February 9, 2015. Let’s live generously, shall we? Let’s be bighearted with our time, our resources, and dare I say it? Let’s give until it hurts, with no strings attached. Let’s think of others before ourselves. Let’s not look at our day and build our agenda based on what WE think is important. Instead, let’s wake up and say, “Lord, how can I join you in YOUR agenda for my day? How can I be a blessing to others? How can I share what you’ve blessed me with? Let’s find JOY IN GIVING! Let’s n...

The Adventures of M&K. Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Food Quest #1: The Flatliner Part 2. We just survived death! We have done it, we built our own Flatliner. And it was delicious. Sure it was touch and go for little while, and Kyle's heart stopped once, but we survied and kicked its butt! Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Food Quest #1: The Flatliner part 1. Ladies and gentlemen. We have eaten the sandwich of death and survived! And I ate it anyway. Which is why we will be making our own! Friday, March 11, 2011. Not t...

The Gibson Family
Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Playing Catch-Up (Like Always). Year has been a busy blur for our family. The kids are constantly going, and my hands seem to be tied up all the time. We are doing great, I just wish I had time to blog and write like I used to. There will be time for that later, I am sure! Here is a run-down of what's been going on. The "big kids" started school two days a week. They love it! He opens cabinets, climbs on everything, and will put anything in his mouth! Landry has pretty much g...

What's Happening at the Smiths
What's Happening at the Smiths. Saturday, March 23, 2013. So I am really bad at this blogging thing and hope to change my ways, but things just got a little bit busier at the Smith house.I was blessed with the best birthday present ever (minus the part of dealing with horrible contractions;) Bridger Wallace Smith was born on March 17th 2013 at 5:30 in the morning(yes it was a long night! A wink and a smile
Wednesday, September 11, 2013. A few of my projects. I must be the queen of unfinished projects! I swear I have at least a dozen little DIY projects running through my head at any given moment. Everything from my never ending bathroom project, to making new curtains, to painting furniture. the list goes on! Oh how I love pinterest! I had the perfect wall space to do something crazy like that, a little 3 maybe 4 foot section in between my kitchen and living room. I am very happy with how it turned out!

Micah loves to go rabbit hunting on his Papa's ranch with his family! Now that the girls are older he started taking them too. Gianna loves it! So after General Conference we all went out to the ranch for a family hunt. :). I almost never find the rabbits, but this time I found both! They both got away so we decided to try our luck with some cans ;). Brichelle enjoyed picking wildflowers . We didn't want to waste bullets on a can so we pulled out the airsoft guns from Aunt Holli and Uncle Rocky, thanks!
