Friday, January 30, 2009. LA - The Fun Stuff. So, as you all know, last week we went to LA for Miles' keloid removal surgery and radiation. The doctor's appointments all started on Monday, so we went out on Saturday for a little fun. The next day we went to Legoland. The boys absolutely loved it and ask just about every day when we're going back. Here the boys are making friends with a giant sloth. Here you can see some fossils in the tar:. Friday, November 04, 2005. Cleaning up helped the itching head somewhat, but now the skin graft on his left ear is itchy. We had an even harder time last night keeping the “hat” on, because he keeps scratching and since the sides are uneven, it doesn’t stay on very well. Thankfully, he was absolutely exhausted last night, so slept pretty well, despite everything. Okay, here are some pics. The journey of a little boy with microtia / atresia. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Robbie had his fracture repair surgery on June 7th again in LA. Everything went well and he recovered and bounced back really fast. Things have been going really good and we are hoping for the best with this implant and continue to move forward. Robbie goes to the ENT for his first cleaning since the surgery and a hearing test. Keeping our fingers crossed that his hearing is the same or better. Miles got a Hearing Aid.

Monday, March 03, 2008. Day 46 - Speech! Here is a picture of Jack's ear from today. Above his ear, you can see that the little scab fell off his scalp where the cup had rubbed it raw. This happened yesterday. There are already hairs growing back. I think it will be fine. Well, tomorrow is Jack's hearing test. I am excited to know the results. Thursday, March 18, 2010. Miles got a Hearing Aid. Last Fall, we finally got a loaner hearing aid for Miles to try out. Actually, we got two. He got to try a BAHA and a BCHA for a total of 3 months. A BAHA is a bone anchored hearing aid. You can either wear it on a "softband" or get a permanent implant so it attaches to your skull.
