kayak's Maiden Voyage - misadventuretime.com

http://www.misadventuretime.com/blog/kayaks-maiden-voyage

First fish from the yak! I took my new kayak out to a local lake to get used to it as I've never been in one. I initially planned on practicing re-entry but it was too late in the day when I arrived. I'm an IT Professional and kayak fishing newbie. See what happens when a computer nerd tries to do stuff outside. Create a free website. Create your own free website. Start your own free website. Taking a quick selfie on my first trip to the ocean. I finally hit the saltwater in my kayak! That made life a lot easier. A kayak cart of some sort is absolutely essential. Besides the PVC kayak cart, I'm glad I brought a hat, sunglasses, and a Hoo Rag. They kept my head and neck protected from the sun without having to use sunscreen. Bringing a waterproof phone case was awesome too. I got a few pictures as well as a blurry video of dolphins. Why The Pescador 12 is the Best Bang for the Buck. I don't co...

Stuff I need Part 2 - Safety Gear. I can barely swim and I want to take a little plastic boat into the ocean. It goes without saying that safety is a big concern of mine. In a previous post. I made a list of items I plan on getting for kayak fishing. Now I want to go into a little more detail. Here is the list starting with the most important piece of safety equipment. Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Was a great source of information. I'll quote from them:. I will be fishing in the hot sun so a quick-dr...

MisadventuresWithMollie | An experiment in nomadic living

An experiment in nomadic living. Temple time in Ubud. October 21, 2014. Disclaimer: I am by NO means an expert on the local Balinese-Hindu culture, but I’ll do my best to give uneducated and limited explanation. The local temple, Gunung Lebah, completed a multi-million dollar renovation and a huge ceremony was performed under the full moon on October 8. There have been 20 days of ceremonies this …. Naughty rooster likes to steal offerings. Scenes from the Oct 20 Ubud processional. Entry into temple, expl...

Misadventures with Money

Field notes from my random financial journeys, as I try nearly everything I can think of, in order to earn some extra scratch. There was an error in this gadget. Saturday, October 16, 2010. If you could wake up as anyone tomorrow, who would it be? Secondly, this is a poor question for me to answer because I simply don't want to be anyone but me. Being me is enough of an adventure without having to experience someone else's adventure as well. Right? An investment in knowledge. I went on to write for my co...

Three Temples, Part IV: Ta Prohm. Three Temples, Part IV: Ta Prohm takes us on a rather hallucinatory journey through the final temple the Misadventurists explored on their visit to Angkor Wat. Immortalized by the Tomb Raider films, Ta Prohm is an atmospheric, tumble-down wonder that can only be reached via a half-mile pathway through thick jungle. Produced, shot and edited by Stacy Libokmeto for Misadventurist Media. (c) 2016 Misadventurist Media. May 20, 2016. Three Temples, Part III: Bayon. Of our new...

The Wanderings of LizzieLou | Everyday musings, from coffee sips to Wild Cat trips

The Wanderings of LizzieLou. Everyday musings, from coffee sips to Wild Cat trips. December 2, 2013. I always wanted a cat. From misguided diapered attempts at making a feline friends, to begging to keep a stray that scratched the crap out of me, I have ALWAYS wanted a cat. My father’s landlord never permitted it.
