One word after another…and Time. July 8, 2016. Sense8 was a TV show that I completely came across by accident. No friend recommended it; I didn’t see any ads or any other kind of promotional trailer on YouTube or elsewhere. What I saw was one poster of two people looking at each other in utter disbelief. I am also a we. The title of the 2. Episode was no doubt quirky enough to pull me into this. One of a Kind Wonder. Connects them all together. Perfect blend of different genres. There are plentiful momen...

November 3, 2014. November 11, 2014. I re-read “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen, which was published in 1813, while contemplating such thoughts. I noticed changes between the language she used and the one I do, such as the use of “to be” as an auxillary verb in the perfect tense of “to come”, instead of using “to have” as an auxillary. Nowadays, we say “The child has. Thanks for reading and please let me know your thoughts! The WordPress.com Blog. Follow Blog via Email. Join 3 other followers.

This blog will mostly feature my thoughts on language, but I love baking, so a couple of my favourite recipes may pop up, as well as the odd philosophical post when I’m in the mood. I hope you’ll enjoy reading these posts as much as I enjoy writing them. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. The Room of Requirement. My thoughts and notes for English Literature. Wishing you all a happy half term! Have a great half term everyone! Thanks for reminding me guys! 8220;War is young men dying and old men talking.” – Sean Bean. In light of this attitude, how does Wilfred Owen in his poetry, Sebastian Faulks in ‘Birdsong’ and R.C Sherriff in ‘Journey’s End’ use form, structure and language to explore the negative impact war has on the young and vulnerable? One word after another…and Time. January 20, 2016. Why since ancient times, mankind has fondled words;. And sought refuge under its shade? Why those epics were sung, and why bards were praised? Why books were bonded and written, and why quills were made? Of questions such and similar I have wondered;. And of the great wisdom and intellect, of those bygone men, I craved. Under the starry night sky,. Glazing at the darkness,. Longing for answers, discontent I,. Weary of the labyrinth, have slept. And by th...

One word after another…and Time. This year, I am going to create Horcruxes. January 13, 2017. If you fall in the intersection of a Venn diagram that represents the people who know Harry Potter and the people who know me, I know exactly what you are thinking right now. ‘He plans to kill some people for fun and become immortal so he could kill even more people for fun.’ (People who really know me will know being immortal is the least likely thing I would want in my life). I will strip, be a nudist in mind,...

One word after another…and Time. Drops in the desert. June 23, 2016. The desert lay cracked and dried,. And clouds grey were out of sight,. As winds brought no dew but sand,. There was no rain or its slightest sign. Soon, the rain clouds gathered,. As well the people:. The women folk, the children. And hope of farmers,. All awaiting, for few drops of moist;. All pleading, they looked up at the sky. Drops of nectar, the elixir of life,. Drizzled, drop by drop. And then, rushed with might! And oasis dry,.
