Nomadic Monkey: February 2007

http://www.nomadic-monkey.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

The random musings of a 27 year old programmer who has wandered from Hawaii to Boston (with brief stints in Seattle, Tokyo, and Daegu), and now finds himself doing software development work in New York City. Wednesday, February 7, 2007. Time for a new phone. Well, so much for my grand plans at getting a Neo. My phone broke (in a very literal way) and I needed a replacement now. The Neo isn't out yet, so I'm getting acquainted with my new Motorola v325i. Posted by David Ormsbee. Labels: phone life toys.

Nomadic Monkey: Sleepy Cousins

The random musings of a 27 year old programmer who has wandered from Hawaii to Boston (with brief stints in Seattle, Tokyo, and Daegu), and now finds himself doing software development work in New York City. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. A salute to my cousin Yeong-un, who can manage to fall asleep just about anywhere. You have to appreciate the first picture in particular. She actually got up out of bed early in the morning so that she could plant herself on the couch. Posted by David Ormsbee.

Nomadic Monkey: My Attempt at a Phone Keyboard

The random musings of a 27 year old programmer who has wandered from Hawaii to Boston (with brief stints in Seattle, Tokyo, and Daegu), and now finds himself doing software development work in New York City. Monday, November 20, 2006. My Attempt at a Phone Keyboard. Project was announced recently, and I'm really hoping that it heralds a future where phones aren't lobotomized by service providers in order to sell users $2 ring tones. A fully programmable, open source phone is such a beautiful thing.

The random musings of a 27 year old programmer who has wandered from Hawaii to Boston (with brief stints in Seattle, Tokyo, and Daegu), and now finds himself doing software development work in New York City. Saturday, January 13, 2007. So I've decided to do freelance work for the forseeable future. I'm busy, I'm working with great people, I do the projects that interest me, and I get paid by the hour. Life is pretty sweet. Posted by David Ormsbee. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). New York, NY, United States.

Monday, July 18, 2016. It has been a long time! A long long time since I last wrote anything on my blog. What would I write? I absolutely have no idea. Friday, June 14, 2013. It's a Dreary Gloomy Winter. Can't wait for the boys' holidays to start. and off we go to somewhere warmer and sunnier! Can't get cheap flights at all. All flights are freaking expensive. We had to go after holidays have started. just to have slightly cheaper air tickets. BUT still so expensive! Wednesday, May 01, 2013. Mon, 31 Dec ...

Tuesday, 14 February 2012. Hubby is away working but has managed to bring a tear to my eye when the doorbell rang and I received a bunch of my favourite flowers - red roses! How lucky am I? Monday, 13 February 2012. I managed to escape the worst of the bad weather that swept across Europe last week. How did I manage it? I did as the birds do and flew south! Ok, so it wasn't all sunbathing and swimming, actually, there was none! Not exactly the Cistine Chapel! I've also come back with ideas for future pos...

Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Let's Hit the Road Jack-I mean Tammy. Today was one whopper of a trip! After an amazingly delicious helping of fairy French Toast, Tammy and I loaded up the eski with cold drinks again and began our day. First stop, petrol! Second stop, going back to Tammy's for my camera. Flash forward an hour and a half and we've listened to a lovely mix CD. We've seen breathtaking scenery, talked some, thought a lot. I had some sleepy moments, but they came and went with the minutes. When I fi...

Thursday, November 29, 2012. Easy Guitar Pick Earrings. Here in the Live Music Capital of the World, guitar picks are pretty easy to come by. But they're not just for strumming guitars! They can easily be turned into earrings, and the possibilities for transforming them are endless! Located on E. 6th Street. Mark each pick with a Sharpie where you want to drill. The placement of the hole should be close to the top. If you drill too far towards the center of the pick, you'll have a much harder tim...Finge...
