Score Game Jam (post-mortem) | Teething Trouble
https://kenkyuushajin.wordpress.com/2010/08/29/score-game-jam-post-mortem
Score Game Jam (post-mortem). August 29, 2010. This is a sort of a sequel to the previous post I made about Score Game Jam so please read it first if you haven’t yet. So, I took part in my first Game Jam ever, as a participant at least. Obviously my game concept was way too big to be finished during mere 42 hours, and that is lesson number one I learned: you can never make a game concept too small if you’re in a game jam. Well, maybe you can, but that would be a positive problem. Since the game isn’...

July 31, 2006. Things I Like About The MBA. 8212; Poor Boy @ 8:19 pm. My undergraduate degree is in Liberal Arts. I liked my studies very much as a Liberal Arts student, but there were certainly things I didn’t like at all; when people said, “what the hell are you going to do with a degree in Liberal Arts? The other really great thing about studying for your MBA is that nobody asks, “what are you going to do with that. Will I get the sort of job that I hope I’ll get? Not as Alone as I Thought…. Which pro...

Thanks England! | MBA Journal

August 10, 2006. 8212; Poor Boy @ 12:54 pm. It’s a little late in the day, but: Thanks England. The English saved hundred if not thousands of lives today. We should all feel indebted to them for their tenacious investigation of terror plots, some of us surely owe our lives or the lives of a friend/loved one to their great work. 2 Comments ». On Wishing Not To Be A Target Market | MBA Journal

August 10, 2006. On Wishing Not To Be A Target Market. 8212; Poor Boy @ 6:13 am. That I find myself being marketed to so heavily as an MBA student. I didn’t notice at first the level to which marketers had their hat out to me. I suppose. It started when I did a Google search for the GMAT and found the first two results were paid advertisements for GMAT Test Preparation. Business Week. While I twittle my thumbs at home. In the end I decided that there was no great need for me to know what the recruiter ha...

August 9, 2006. Not Everyone Wants to Be An MBA. 8212; Poor Boy @ 4:22 pm. After she graduates she’ll go on to Rockhurst (just like me! We’re twins:) to earn her Master’s of Education and eventually to become a teacher, something she’s wanted to do, reportedly, since she was six. At this very moment, though, she’s attempting to get a job as a paraprofessional. August 8, 2006. Man, Oil Is Confusing! 8212; Poor Boy @ 9:54 pm. I was reading this article. Bought My Books Today | MBA Journal
https://mbajournal.wordpress.com/2006/08/14/bought-my-books-today
August 14, 2006. Bought My Books Today. 8212; Poor Boy @ 2:18 pm. As what feels like my first act as an actual MBA student (as opposed to an MBA applicant), I bought my books today for classes that start mid-way through next week. Three books, $300.00, and I’m ready to rock! I understand that not every semester can be super-duper and full of things I’m eager to learn, but this semester actually seems extra bad! I don’t want to re-learn basic accounting principles! 4 Comments ». What school do you go to?

August 30, 2006. MBA Class, Day 1. 8212; Poor Boy @ 11:54 am. I had my first in-class experience as an MBA student last night; I attended my “Effective Communication For Managers” class. The students were varied and interesting. Some students, like myself, were earning our MBAs with emphasis in administration or accounting, and we behaved in similar manners to one-and-other (more laid back, quieter. Than some other students), those students who were pursuing their MBA finance tended to be more aggressive.

X-Treme(!) Textbooks! | MBA Journal

August 21, 2006. 8212; Poor Boy @ 9:34 am. Textbooks are like the ultimate multi-media experience. More visually stimulating than a Pink Floyd laser. Light show, more technologically savvy than most people born prior to 1970, the books today do more than simply convey information in a useful way; they indulge. Our national attention deficit disorder. That I picked up for this semester is officially the most expensive book I’ve ever purchased, totaling. Manager (Plus) website; the site has everything!
