Oh Sew Busy: Chicken Run
http://ohsewbusy.blogspot.com/2011/02/chicken-run.html
Tuesday, February 1, 2011. This is Chicken Run by Hatched and Patched, and it was the second quilt top I pieced! I pieced this one while I was finishing the sampler quilt top I made in my intro to patchwork and quilting at Anni's Shop, The Home Patch in Bathurst. So I rang for an approximate price to have the quilts quilted. DH said no way were we paying that. At this time I only had a few weeks till the baby was due so I resigned myself to not having my quilts quilted. The chooks are so cute. Good to he...

http://ohsewbusy.blogspot.com/2012/12/colours.html
Sunday, December 16, 2012. This is our new stove, an Esse 990 slow combustion cooker with three ovens. It's been a while since it arrived but I've had troubles not only with blogger but with uploading photos from my camera to the computer. The stove is in place now, complete with a stainless steel splashback and the Esse exhaust. We bought our stove from Pivot Stove. My sewing machines came back about a month ago and they have been whirring along ever since! At Nundle next March. I'm looking forward ...

Monday, February 28, 2011. Gardeners Journal is finished! I tell you, it was hard at times to keep working on this quilt for someone who likes to chop and change projects; but the encouragement of the Stitch-a-Long was fantastic! Thanks to Dale, Peg and Chooky who got it started; and thanks to Chooky for running the blog. I am so so SO pleased to have this quilt finished, an achievement! I have also finished binding FORKS, it has only taken a bit over twelve months from start to finish, LOL! Wonderful Be...

Oh Sew Busy: 24inch Baby Quilt
http://ohsewbusy.blogspot.com/2010/06/24inch-baby-quilt.html
Wednesday, June 9, 2010. I finished this quilt yesterday for a competition that was advertised in Down Under Quilts magazine. The quilts from the competition will be distributed throughout Australia for Neonatal Intensive Care Units to offer small quilts to families whose babies dies before or at birth. I was sent the FQ of Nicey Jane fabric to use to make the 24 inch quilt, and I put white with it because I wanted something simple but effective. Now here is an interesting read! http://ohsewbusy.blogspot.com/2012/09/tea-towel-bag-trade.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. Tea Towel Bag Trade. Recently the online Friends in Stitching group had a tea towel bag swap, you just had to make a bag using a tea towel, easy. I hadn't done any sewing for ages with the baby and thought this was in my capabilities at the time. I was so excited to do something else for ten minutes a day, LOL and it was ten minutes a day, if that! I bought a pretty stripey tea towel from a local gift wares shop to wrap it in for De. Sarah made mine, and it is gorgeous! Home o...
